Hello everyone! I'm LorentM, a passionate digital artist, and I'm excited to share with you my latest creation. This week, I ventured back into the social media section hosted by Splinterlands and decided to bring my version of the "Sabre Shark" character to life in Simpsons style.
The inspiration for this adaptation came from an iconic source: the "Jaws" movie poster. Who doesn't remember that iconic image of the shark's jaws peering from the depths of the ocean towards its prey on the surface? Well, I decided to give this legendary scene a Simpsonian twist.
In my version, you can see the Simpsons donut floating on the surface of the sea, while the sharp jaws of "Sabre Shark" loom menacingly from the depths. I loved the idea of merging two such different worlds: the deep ocean seriousness of "Jaws" and the cartoonish fun of the Simpsons.
Creating this piece was a fun and creative challenge. I immersed myself in the process of capturing the details of "Sabre Shark's" jaws and recreating the texture of the water. I can't help but smile every time I look at this piece, as it combines my love for pop culture and my passion for digital art.

Esta semana, me aventuré de nuevo en la sección de redes sociales que organiza Splinterlands y decidí dar vida a mi versión del personaje "Sabre Shark" al estilo de los Simpsons.
La inspiración para esta adaptación provino de una fuente icónica: el póster de la película "Tiburón". ¿Quién no recuerda esa imagen emblemática de las mandíbulas del tiburón asomando desde las profundidades del océano hacia su presa en la superficie? Bueno, decidí darle un toque simpsoniano a esta escena legendaria.
En mi versión, puedes ver la dona de los Simpson flotando en la superficie del mar, mientras las mandíbulas afiladas de "Sabre Shark" se asoman amenazadoramente desde las profundidades. Me encantó la idea de fusionar dos mundos tan diferentes: la seriedad del océano profundo de "Tiburón" y la diversión caricaturesca de los Simpson.
La creación de esta pieza fue un desafío divertido y creativo. Me sumergí en el proceso de capturar los detalles de las mandíbulas de "Sabre Shark" y recrear la textura del agua. No puedo evitar sonreír cada vez que miro esta obra, ya que combina mi amor por la cultura pop y mi pasión por el arte digital.

Sabre Sharks can smell a potential meal underwater from a mile away, and their prey never hears them coming. Though these sharks are heavily concentrated in ΛZMΛRÉ, they can be found anywhere in the Splinterlands. These sharks are deadly enough, but they are a full fifty times smaller than their cousin, the Megalodon.
Los tiburones sable pueden oler una comida potencial bajo el agua a una milla de distancia, y sus presas nunca los oyen llegar. Aunque estos tiburones están muy concentrados en ΛZMΛRÉ, pueden encontrarse en cualquier parte de las Tierras Esparcidas. Estos tiburones son bastante mortíferos, pero son cincuenta veces más pequeños que su primo, el Megalodón.
Process / Proceso
I began this exciting project by diving into the sketching phase. I used my graphics tablet and my favorite drawing program to sketch the scene I had in mind. Here, I captured the overall composition and position of the key elements: the jaws of the "Sabre Shark" and the iconic Simpsons donut floating on the surface of the sea.
Next, I moved into the outlining stage. With careful, precise strokes, I brought the details of the jaws to life, making sure each tooth stood out and the curves were smooth and appealing. I also outlined the donut with clean and defined lines, maintaining its characteristic shape.
With the outline complete, it was time to add color to the scene. I chose a vibrant color palette to bring "Sabre Shark" and the donut to life. I made sure the tones reflected the Simpsons aesthetic, with their signature cheerful colors.
After applying the base colors, I dove into the shading and highlighting phase. This is where the image really comes to life. I added subtle shadows to give depth to the "Sabre Shark" jaws and donut, creating the illusion that they are immersed in the depths of the ocean. Then, I added sparkles and shimmers to highlight the focal points and create a more dynamic and realistic look.

Comencé este emocionante proyecto sumergiéndome en la fase de boceto. Usé mi tableta gráfica y mi programa de dibujo favorito para esbozar la escena que tenía en mente. Aquí, capturé la composición general y la posición de los elementos clave: las mandíbulas de "Sabre Shark" y la icónica dona de los Simpson flotando en la superficie del mar.
Luego, me adentré en la etapa de delineado. Con trazos cuidadosos y precisos, di vida a los detalles de las mandíbulas, asegurándome de que cada diente se destacara y las curvas fueran suaves y atractivas. También delineé la dona con líneas limpias y definidas, manteniendo su forma característica.
