Creating fan art is always a journey of emotion for me, but this time, the path was especially touching. Welcome once again to my blog, dear art lovers. I’m Lorentm, a passionate digital artist who’s been exploring the heartfelt stories behind viral TikTok moments by reimagining them in anime style. For this piece, I dove into a clip that’s been living rent-free in the hearts of many: a tender farewell between a man and his puppy. The video was short, but the emotions it evoked were overwhelming—a mix of sweetness, innocence, and a pang of sadness.
The character I illustrated is a small puppy, full of charm and personality. He’s a brown, wide-eyed little friend with a white belly and a bright red collar, his paw raised in a playful fist bump. His eyes sparkle with trust and affection, capturing a moment that feels both joyful and heartbreaking. I wanted to immortalize that instant—the moment before a goodbye that is loyal, pure, and quietly powerful.

Soy Lorentm, una artista digital apasionada que ha estado explorando las historias más emotivas detrás de momentos virales de TikTok, reimaginándolos con un estilo anime. Para esta ilustración, me inspiré en un video que ha conmovido profundamente a muchos: una tierna despedida entre un hombre y su cachorro. El clip es breve, pero las emociones que transmite son intensas: dulzura, inocencia y un pequeño dolor en el corazón.
El personaje que ilustré es un cachorrito lleno de carisma y personalidad. Es de color marrón, con el vientre blanco, ojos grandes y brillantes, y un collar rojo que resalta su ternura. Levanta su patita para hacer un gesto de puño, en un instante que transmite afecto y confianza. Sus ojos reflejan lealtad y emoción, y quise capturar ese instante que es alegre y, al mismo tiempo, profundamente emotivo.
The puppy featured in A Loyal Goodbye is not just any dog—he represents the purest kind of love and friendship. Inspired by a viral TikTok farewell scene, this character encapsulates the innocence of a bond that doesn’t need words to be felt. His joyful eyes and gentle smile speak volumes, and that tiny paw raised in sync with a human fist is a universal gesture of trust.
El cachorro que aparece en A Loyal Goodbye no es un perro cualquiera: representa la forma más pura de amor y amistad. Inspirado en una escena de despedida viral en TikTok, este personaje captura la inocencia de un lazo que no necesita palabras para sentirse. Sus ojos alegres y su sonrisa sutil dicen mucho, y esa pequeña patita levantada al compás de un puño humano es un gesto universal de confianza.
Process / Proceso
The journey began with a sketch where I tried to capture the joyful, expectant expression of the puppy. I worked with soft, curved lines to emphasize the character’s tenderness, and I paid close attention to his posture—paws on the windowsill, body slightly tilted forward, eyes wide with emotion.
Todo comenzó con un boceto en el que intenté capturar la expresión alegre y expectante del cachorro. Utilicé líneas suaves y curvas para enfatizar la ternura del personaje, y puse especial atención en su postura: patas sobre el marco de la ventana, cuerpo ligeramente inclinado hacia adelante y ojos muy abiertos, llenos de emoción.
The lineart stage was essential to refine the expression and silhouette. I focused on clean, fluid strokes, especially around the eyes and ears, which are key to conveying his personality. The gesture of the paw and the tiny smile were adjusted repeatedly until they felt just right.
La etapa del delineado fue crucial para refinar la expresión y la silueta. Me concentré en trazos limpios y fluidos, especialmente alrededor de los ojos y las orejas, que son claves para transmitir su personalidad. El gesto de la patita y la pequeña sonrisa fueron ajustados varias veces hasta que se sintieran naturales y llenos de vida.
For coloring, I selected warm, earthy tones to enhance the character’s softness. The brown fur contrasts nicely with the white patches on his chest and paws, while the red collar adds a vibrant accent. I wanted the colors to evoke warmth and emotional connection.
Al momento de colorear, elegí tonos cálidos y terrosos para resaltar la dulzura del personaje. El pelaje marrón contrasta con las zonas blancas del pecho y las patas, mientras que el collar rojo añade un toque vibrante. Quería que los colores transmitieran calidez y una conexión emocional inmediata.
Shading was one of the most emotional steps. I placed shadows subtly, especially beneath his chin, around his paws, and under the windowsill to give depth to the moment. The lighting was intentionally soft, as if the scene was caught during a quiet evening.
Aplicar sombras fue una de las partes más emotivas. Coloqué las sombras de forma sutil, especialmente bajo su barbilla, alrededor de sus patas y bajo el marco de la ventana para darle profundidad al momento. La iluminación la hice intencionalmente suave, como si la escena ocurriera en una tranquila tarde.
The highlights brought the scene to life. I added a gleam in the puppy’s eyes to make them sparkle with emotion, and gentle glows along his fur to emphasize his vitality. The little shine on the red tag makes it feel real and tangible, like something you could reach out and touch.
Los brillos le dieron vida a la escena. Añadí un destello en los ojos del cachorro para que brillaran con emoción, y reflejos suaves en su pelaje para resaltar su vitalidad. El pequeño brillo en la placa roja hace que se sienta real, casi como si pudieras tocarlo.
Finally, the background was kept minimal and soft, to keep the focus on the characters. The muted tones suggest an indoor scene at dusk, adding a layer of intimacy to the farewell. I wanted everything to frame that one, loyal goodbye.
Finalmente, el fondo lo mantuve minimalista y suave, para que toda la atención se centrara en los personajes. Los tonos apagados sugieren una escena interior al atardecer, lo que aporta una sensación de intimidad a la despedida. Quería que todo enmarcara ese único, leal adiós.

Creating A Loyal Goodbye was a heartfelt experience. It’s amazing how a small, viral video can hold such profound meaning and how art can freeze that feeling in time.
