Epona was a dreamer, a lover of everything that lives and grows. Hundreds of years ago when the kingdom of Lyveria was young, Epona was its brightest daughter. She was a brilliant creator whose paintings could draw tears of joy from the Spirit of the Forest herself. The intricacies of her handcrafts were unmatched by anyone in the land; Epona could weave beautiful tapestries from grasses and brambles. She was a thoughtful philosopher whose musings could leave the wisest old men of Lyveria speechless in astonishment.
Epona era una soñadora, una amante de todo lo que vive y crece. Hace cientos de años, cuando el reino de Lyveria era joven, Epona era su hija más brillante. Era una creadora brillante cuyas pinturas podían arrancar lágrimas de alegría al mismísimo Espíritu del Bosque. The process of creating my digital drawing inspired by Epona and the style of "Disenchantment" was an exciting journey of imagination and creativity. I began by immersing myself in the world of both characters, exploring their unique characteristics and personalities.
Then, I meticulously selected the key elements I wanted to incorporate into my illustration. I dove into Princess Bean's design to bring Epona to life, merging her spunky attitude and style with the dreamy essence of the original character. This involved making decisions about Epona's clothing, facial features and posture to capture her spirit and energy.
Once I had a clear vision in my mind, I began to shape the composition. I used initial strokes to sketch out Epona's position and the wild horse in the scene, making sure the interaction between them was authentic and emotive. It was a process of constant tweaking to find the perfect composition that conveyed the story I wanted to tell.
With the sketch in place, I began to add layers of detail. Focusing on Epona, I dove into creating her facial expression, her sparkling eyes and windblown hair. Each stroke and shading was intended to highlight her vitality and her connection to the horses and surrounding nature.
