Hi everyone! I'm Lorentm and I'm excited to share my experience in the Splinterlands weekly art contest. I decided to participate in this initiative with a fan art of the character "Lorna Shine".
Usually I usually use the Simpsons style for my creations, but this time I decided to experiment with a different style. I was inspired by the fantasy series "Disenchantment" created by the same author Matt Groening, which tells the story of the adventurous and independent princess, Bean. Its animation style is very similar to The Simpsons, but it has a fantastic touch with wizards, elves, trolls and other beings.
So I took the image of Lorna Shine and recreated it in the style of Disenchantment. It was challenging, but also a lot of fun. I loved playing with colors and shapes, and experimenting with a different aesthetic than I was used to.
Participating in the Splinterlands art contest was a great opportunity to showcase my work and see what other artists are creating. I love the Splinterlands community, and I'm excited to see how other artists have interpreted their favorite characters.

¡Hola a todos! Soy Lorentm y estoy emocionada de compartir mi experiencia en el concurso de arte semanal de Splinterlands. Decidí participar en esta iniciativa con un fan art del personaje "Lorna Shine".
Por lo general, suelo usar el estilo de los Simpsons para mis creaciones, pero esta vez decidí experimentar con un estilo diferente. Me inspiré en la serie de fantasía "Disenchantment" creada por el mismo autor Matt Groening, que cuenta la historia de la princesa aventurera e independiente, Bean. Su estilo de animación es muy similar al de Los Simpsons, pero tiene un toque fantástico con magos, duendes, trolls y otros seres.
Así que tomé la imagen de Lorna Shine y la recreé en el estilo de Disenchantment. Fue un reto, pero también muy divertido. Me encantó jugar con los colores y las formas, y experimentar con una estética diferente a la que estaba acostumbrada.
Participar en el concurso de arte de Splinterlands fue una gran oportunidad para mostrar mi trabajo y ver lo que otros artistas están creando. Me encanta la comunidad de Splinterlands, y estoy emocionada de ver cómo otros artistas han interpretado sus personajes favoritos.

The White Plains of Khymeria boast an extremely mild climate that allows for some Khymians to live in the elements throughout the year. Lorna Shine is one such Khymian. She wanders throughout the valley, visiting acquaintances and attending celebrations. Her skin is incredibly fair, no matter how much time she spends outdoors, and her red hair shines like a flame as she approaches from a distance at sunset. Lorna carries a huge sword on her back. When the sword is removed from its sheath for combat, it always does magnificent work.

Vaga por el valle, visitando a conocidos y asistiendo a celebraciones. Process / Proceso
First, I decided that I wanted to combine elements of both characters to create something new and exciting. To do so, I used my graphics tablet and the digital drawing software I usually use, which in this case is Ibis paint x.
I started by creating a new layer and began drawing my character, paying special attention to her posture and attitude, which reflect her adventurous and independent personality. Then, I added elements of Lorna Shine, such as her armor and huge sword, to give the image a more warrior-like and powerful look.
Next, I started working on the scenery. I decided to create a castle in the background to give the artwork a medieval look and more related to the world of Splinterlands. I used various drawing tools to create the towers and walls of the castle, and also added details such as mountains, clouds and various flags flying on the towers.
After completing the scenery, I added the base colors and started working on the shadows and highlights. I wanted to make sure the image had depth and dimension, so I worked on separate layers to adjust each element separately.
In summary, the process of creating the digital drawing of Queen Bean with Lorna Shine elements for the Splinterlands art contest was an exciting and challenging experience, where I was able to experiment with different styles and techniques to create a unique and powerful image. En primer lugar, decidí que quería combinar elementos de ambos personajes para crear algo nuevo y emocionante. Para ello, utilicé mi tableta gráfica y el software de dibujo digital que suelo usar, que en este caso es Ibis paint x.
Comencé por crear una nueva capa y empecé a dibujar mi personaje, prestando especial atención a su postura y actitud, que reflejan su personalidad aventurera e independiente. Luego, agregué elementos de Lorna Shine, como su armadura y su enorme espada, para darle a la imagen un aspecto más guerrero y poderoso.
A continuación, comencé a trabajar en el escenario. Decidí crear un castillo al fondo para darle a la obra un aspecto medieval y más relacionado con el mundo de Splinterlands. Utilicé varias herramientas de dibujo para crear las torres y las paredes del castillo, y también agregué detalles como montañas, nubes y varias banderas ondeando en las torres.
Después de completar el escenario, añadí los colores base y comencé a trabajar en las sombras y las luces. Quería asegurarme de que la imagen tuviera profundidad y dimensión, por lo que trabajé en capas separadas para ajustar cada elemento por separado

The tools I used for the drawing were the following:
- Android tablet.
- Capacitive pen (Stylus).
- Ibis Paint X program.
- Brushes: Pencil, Airbrush, Fuzzy, Marker.
