In my artwork, Rexxie holds a delicious donut in her hand, which she is about to devour, maintaining that playful Simpsons essence. Rexxies are the fiercest and most dangerous of the Dinosaurs inhabiting Anumun’s Grasslands of Primordia. They go wherever they please and eat whatever they can get their mouths around. The Spirit of the Forest is especially fond of these massive beasts.
Los Rexxies son los más feroces y peligrosos de los dinosaurios que habitan las praderas de Primordia de Anumun. Van donde les da la gana y comen todo lo que se les mete en la boca. Al Espíritu del Bosque le gustan especialmente estas enormes bestias.
Process / Proceso
The process of creating my Simpsons-style digital drawing of Rexxie was an exciting artistic journey that involved several key steps. I started with a digital pencil sketch to capture the essence of the character and her pose. I then moved on to the outlining stage, where I perfected the contours and details, keeping a style true to the distinctive strokes of The Simpsons characters.
Once the outlines were defined, the next step was coloring. I carefully chose the colors to achieve a fresh and cheerful look, while maintaining his characteristic green. For the donut she holds in her hand, I focused on appetizing tones that make her look even more tempting.
The shading and highlighting phase was crucial to give depth and volume to the image. I added soft shadows to define the areas of higher contrast and highlights to bring out the brighter parts, such as the eyes and the edges of the clothing. This helped Rexxie come to life in a 3D environment, creating a sense of three-dimensionality in the drawing.
Finally, the candy-themed background added a touch of fun and contrast, with its pink color and the presence of a huge donut and colorful sprinkles. This framed Rexxie and gave her a playful context.
In short, my creative process started with a sketch, progressed to outlining, followed by coloring, and then focused on shading and highlighting to bring Rexxie to life. The candy background was the icing on the cake, completing this Simpsons-style digital artwork.
El proceso de creación de mi dibujo digital de Rexxie al estilo de los Simpsons fue un emocionante viaje artístico que involucró varios pasos clave. Comencé con un boceto a lápiz digital para capturar la esencia del personaje y su pose. Después, pasé a la etapa de delineado, donde perfeccioné los contornos y detalles, manteniendo un estilo fiel a los trazos distintivos de los personajes de Los Simpsons.
Una vez que los contornos estuvieron definidos, el siguiente paso fue el coloreado. Elegí cuidadosamente los colores para lograr un aspecto fresco y alegre, manteniendo su característico verde.
