Gem #67 - A danger foreseen is half avoided

It may be a tough ask to find any given moment, where we aren’t exposed to some sort of potential peril. Sure, the degree of hazard may invariably differ. The point here, though, is that we may seldom find a occasion, where our guard may be let down. With inherent danger spanning the various aspect of our lives, and seemingly lurking around every corner, we’ve each built and subsequently continue to strengthen, our own personal fortresses.

Instinctively - our ‘defense systems’ attempt to shield us from harm, without so much as an after thought. Hard lessons learned and experiences shared, allow for new robust ‘updates’ to be installed. Sometimes, however, these too are ‘rolled back’ in the blink of an eye, the result of even newer lessons being learned.. perhaps the product of complacency.

It’s oftentimes preferable to rather consciously acknowledge an inherent danger, than to remain blissfully unaware of the same. For after all, it is only with such insight, that we may better prepare ourselves in taking evasive action. Whether this be preventative or precautionary in nature, we are likely still forever changed by the episode. Having foresight, may lesson the impact; while the scars we carry as a result thereof, allow us to see even further. Bliss may thus be found over the horizon.

Till next time,

ma3str0

Welcome to Hive, @ma3str0 !
I see you've worked hard to make your posts. There is a definite learning curve to the community/culture and regulations here, which I see you're taking on with gusto!

Resource and voting credits are precious in the beginning, which brings me to a (hopefully gentle) suggestion for you: use them wisely. Rather than tagging and thanking those that vote for you from your own posts, use those credits to go to their accounts and comment on their writings as you can, even if the posts are older. Spread the love around the community. Follow those that support you. One more suggestion in a similar vein: self-upvoting is generally frowned upon, as that vote could be used to similarly spread the love and rewards.

I hope you continue posting, and finding your place in the community. It's a great place to be!

@ma3str0! You Are Alive so I just staked 0.1 $ALIVE to your account on behalf of @madame-cyntaia. (1/10)

The tip has been paid for by the We Are Alive Tribe through the earnings on @alive.chat, feel free to swing by our daily chat any time you want, plus you can win Hive Power and Alive Power delegations and Ecency Points in our chat every day.

Also, as you're starting out, here's a resource that may be of help to you for resource credits and building your HP: https://giftgiver.site/
I found it to be very helpful when I was starting out.

Hi @madame-cyntaia,

Thank you so much for noticing! It's been quite a learning curve indeed! I have been working at improving my existing content before moving on with anything new. Glad to say, that I'm close to being done on that front.

You're right about the resource credits haha. I do have some hive powered up, but with all my updates etc., it quickly almost depleted. I see, though, that it is now increasing at a faster rate than decreasing, so I should be ok I reckon. Thanks for that link as well, I'll keep in in mind should I encounter someone new myself in need of such help.

I appreciate you following me. I can use all the love and support I can get on this journey. I have followed you too :)..

Noted regarding self-votes going forwarded.. truth be told, my brain is working overtime atm looool. But that's important to know, so thanks for telling me.

I'll also interact more with the posts of others as soon as I catch up with my updates.. I like that idea a lot!. With regards to thanking others for their support on my actual posts, I guess I'm just wanting them to know that I do appreciate each and everyone of them for recognizing me in a positive manner. But I 100% get your point. Perhaps I'll try a bit of both..

Anyway, thank you again. I'm appreciate to have your support! Truly.

@madame-cyntaia, the HiQ Smart Bot has recognized your request (1/2) and will start the voting trail.

In addition, @ma3str0 gets !PIZZA from @hiq.redaktion.

For further questions, check out https://hiq-hive.com or join our Discord. And don't forget to vote HiQs fucking Witness! 😻

Hey welcome to Alien Art Hive 👽

Heya @juliakponsford :) ..thanks so much for the warm welcome and kind support. It is indeed very much appreciated. As I've only recently started this journey, I still have a very far way to go. My intention is to share regular literary gems with the greater community. I would therefore be ever so grateful for any subsequent support you potentially may provide as well. Thanks again.

As someone who has only recently started out on this journey, I'd like to express my gratitude to you all. p.s. I plan on posting regular thought provoking nuggets of treasured sentiment, which I'm hoping you will continue to both enjoy and support. Thank you.

Edit: The post has been edited after the user promised to improve the content in the following posts.

Thanks @hivewatchers for taking the time needed to help a new hopeful content creator reach greater heights. As you are aware, I have taken the feedback onboard, and will continually strive to share quality content with the greater community.

Hi ladies and gents.. I’ve tagged some of you here in the hope that you may perhaps see this message. Anyway, I noticed that you downvoted this post, prior to some positive changes which I’ve subsequently made. Truth be told, I’m pretty new here, and thus still figuring out what works best for the community. I’m therefore grateful for any constructive feedback as well.

On that note, the changes which I made to my writing style is based on just that, i.e. feedback received. You’ll now be pleased to find a more concise and practical footer, with my original content now being the main focus (expanded upon greatly). Instead of simply providing my thought provoking take on an ancient aphorism, I now use an ancient aphorism as inspiration for my authentic writing. This is a complete mindset change, but one which I hope may gain your support going forward.

I value the community as a whole, and thus am dedicated to contributing positively to the platform. Thanks for listening. Peace.
