Splinterlands Fan Art: Flame Mephit. Weekly Art Contest.

Hello Everyone

How are you?

I hope you're doing well and leading a sound life. I will bring you another one of my artwork today. This one is also a digital drawing fan art of a monster of Splinterlands. I drew this one to participate in the weekly art contest arranged by @splinterlands. I'll add the link to the contest at the end. Check it out if you feel interested. In this post, I'll share my drawing process, my tools and how I drew a fan art version of the original card quite different from the original. I hope you like my version.

The monster I drew today is named Flame Mephit. I used my laptop, graphics tablet, stylus drawing touch pen, and a drawing software named ibis Paint. I'll attach my drawing and the original image below and you can check it out. I'll also add the link to the contest at the end of my post. So, let's get started:-

My Drawing

The process began by drawing the structure of her body. I first used a 2B pencil to draw a primary shape, as shown in the picture below. After that, I added some small lines to visualize the idea of the detailing part and also drew her hair and eyes. I didn't go further with the detailing part and I was going to do that with the colours later on. So, I first added the primary colours in two steps. These various colours will help me to visualize the shades and curves and blend in the colours in my next steps.

And then I proceed with the colour detailing part. I began by adding the colour layers to visualize the shades. As I was about to put a flame ball on her hand on the finishing step, I added some light yellow strokes on her right side with a spray brush tool to make it look like it was glowing. I also added some deeper colour tones to enhance her skin colour.

Then one by one, I added some small details such as her eyes, eyebrows and nails.

After that, I drew her clothes while keeping the lower part of her body blank. Then in the 2nd part, I drew a flame line on the bottom of the frame and attached her body to it to make it look like her body was made of fire.

And then I added the background to the drawing/ After that I drew the flame on her hand and then her hair.

Then in this step, I sharpened the edges of her dress and finalized the borderlines of her dress. I also completed the colouring part of her hair and drew her a set of earrings. I also enhanced the glowing effect on her skin and made it bright.

Final Result

After some final touches on her dress with the spray brush tool, here's my final image:-
