RE: Protect yourself against becoming part of the future Cryptoart Underclass!

I maybe didn’t describe the structure of an SMT powered community. So something like ad revenue wouldn’t just go to me. It’s used to buy tokens off the market, ie add an opposing force to the sell pressure caused by people earning and selling tokens.

The idea is that all the revenue made by the different business ventures is used to buy back the token which creates a virtuous loop, not a one way money drain the way Hive is set up now.

As the admin, I’d have a lot of options for how I would profit, but I’d probably keep it indirect to promote more of the sense that we’re all profiting together, vs just me.

In regards to who would be potential advertisers, it’s not always a product to be sold. If the community successfully gains traction and traffic, then we’d have a very niche group of users that are interested in very niche stuff. So for example, everyone with an NFT platform could be a potential advertiser as a very successful OCA would be a gathering of all the worlds crypto artists which are basically the fuel these platforms run on.

That’s just one scenario, but there’s a ton of opportunity if done right without the need of trying to ask every user to be an entrepreneur which in not realistic IMO.

To me what make more sense is empowering the people that do want to be entrepreneurs to be as successful as possible and making the upward ceiling as high as possible for those users.

As you’ve mentioned I think this would be them using Hive or better yet Hive tokens as a tool to build and incentivize THEIR community.

Whenever there is money there will be people trying to game and abuse the system, the system has to be built to withstand that. It’s my opinion Hive hasn’t really done a good job of that so far, but a lot could be done at the SMT and individual frontend level to combat that.
