Inktober is a drawing challenge that involves creating a drawing every day in October based on a series of words or phrases. It encourages people to draw and improve their drawing skills. It was created by Jake Parker and was originally a challenge where participants had to draw with ink and, obviously, using traditional methods, but over the years people have participated using a variety of materials, both traditional and digital. This year, I decided to complete the House of Wizard Inktober challenge, and I will be following each daily theme to the letter.

Inktober es un reto de dibujo, el cual consiste en hacer un dibujo cada día del mes de octubre, mediante una serie de palabras o frases. Incentivando a las personas a dibujar y mejorar en el dibujo. Fue creado por Jake Parker y originalmente es un reto en donde la persona tiene que dibujar con tinta y evidentemente en tradicional, pero a lo largo de los años las personas participan con diversos materiales, ya sea en tradicional o digital. Para este año, me propuse terminar el Inktober de House of Wizard y es el que estaré siendo al pie de la letra cada tema diario.

Hola gente bonita! ¡Espero estén súper bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Como el tema asignado para el día 12 era "Cerebro de duende en un tarro o botella", la verdad que no me quise complicar tanto e hice exactamente lo que estaban pidiendo, un cerebro en una botella.

I started by drawing some guide lines to work with and get the bottle right. I obviously used a ruler to structure the guide lines and ensure the measurements were accurate. I used a brain and some hands as a reference, because yes, I drew some hands around the bottle with the brain, so the drawing wouldn't be too simple.

Comencé haciendo algunas lineas guía para trabajar y hacer bien lo que era la botella. Me ayude evidentemente de una regla para estructurar las lineas guía y así tener precisión con las medidas. Tome como referencia un cerebro y algunas manos, porque si, le hice algunas manos alrededor de la botella con cerebro, para no dejar tan simple el dibujo.

Once I had the sketch ready, I began to erase the guide lines and remove the excess graphite with a kneaded eraser, leaving the drawing clean and ready to start painting.

Cuando tuve el boceto listo, lo que hice después fue comenzar a borrar las lineas guía y quitar el exceso de grafito con un borrador moldeable y así dejo listo y limpio el dibujo para comenzar a pintarlo.

It didn't take me long to do the painting, since it didn't really need that much detail. Once I had done the shading and painting on the drawing, I started to add a little detail to certain areas of the drawing with more paint, but this time using more pigment to give the drawing more contrast.

No me tomo mucho tiempo en hacer el trabajo de pintado, ya que no había que detallar tanto el mismo la verdad. Una vez tuve hecho el trabajo de sombras y pintado en el dibujo, lo que hice fue comenzar a detallar un poco ciertas zonas del dibujo con mas pintura, pero esta vez mas pigmentada para darle mas contraste al dibujo.

The last thing I do is add the details of what would be the blood spattered on the hands and other details with mechanical pencils on most of the drawing. I also add some highlights to the drawing, and that's it, friends. I hope you like it.

Lo ultimo que hago son los detalles de lo que vendría siendo la sangre derramada en las manos y detalles con los portaminas en la gran mayoría del dibujo. También agrego algunos brillos al dibujo y listo amigos, eso seria todo. Espero les guste.
