Inktober is a drawing challenge that involves creating a drawing every day in October based on a series of words or phrases. It encourages people to draw and improve their drawing skills. It was created by Jake Parker and was originally a challenge where participants had to draw with ink and, obviously, using traditional methods, but over the years people have participated using a variety of materials, both traditional and digital. This year, I decided to complete the House of Wizard Inktober challenge, and I will be following each daily theme to the letter.

Today I had to do a drawing where the assigned theme was “Demon in a Bottle.” Honestly, at first, the first thing you do is think of a demon inside a bottle and that's it, but I wanted to do something different.
Hola gente bonita! ¡Espero estén súper bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! El día de hoy toco hacer un dibujo en donde el tema asignado fue "Demonio en un botella". La verdad que en principio lo que primero que haces en pensar en un demonio dentro de una botella y ya esta, pero yo lo quise hacer diferente.
Wizard Inktober
For my idea, what I did was make a bottle, because it is the element that is in the main theme, but I made it with a darker or more gloomy design. The cap of the bottle itself is a skull and the base is a spider. And to make the demon, what I did was give it a more ghostly appearance.
Para mi idea, lo que hice fue hacer una botella, porque es el elemento que esta en el tema principal, pero la hice con un diseño mas oscuro o tétrico. La tapa de la botella en sí es una calavera y la base un araña. Y para hacer el demonio, lo que hice fue hacerlo en un aspecto mas fantasmal.

The truth is that it doesn't take me that long to structure my whole idea in the sketch. What I did after finishing the sketch was to go over it with a moldable eraser to remove the excess graphite and leave it clean so I could start adding details with the paint.
La verdad que no me tomo tanto tiempo estructura toda mi idea en el boceto. Lo que hice después de tener el boceto listo, fue pasar por encima de este un borrador moldeable para quitarle el exceso de grafito y así dejarlo limpio para comenzara a detallarlo con la pintura.

I tried to add as much detail as I could to create a good contrast, since they are only black and white drawings and often elements can get lost if there isn't good contrast.
Trate de detallar todo lo mas que pude, para que se viera un buen trabajo de contraste, ya que son solo dibujos en blanco y negro y muchas veces los elementos se pueden llegar a perder si no hay un buen contaste.

The last thing I did was add the final details and clean up certain areas again with the moldable eraser. And that's it, folks. I hope you like it.
