Hello beautiful people of Hive! I hope you are super well and to those people who are unfriendly and arrogant too! I'm here to share with you a new drawing I made to share with the people of @Splinterlands, for the #socialmendiachallenge. I took as inspiration the Magma Troll card, which in its entirety is focused on the fire skill, but I wanted to change a couple of things. Without further ado, let's start with the drawing process:
Hola gente bonita de Hive! Espero estén super bien y a esas personas que son antipáticas y arrogantes también! Les vengo a compartir un nuevo dibujo que hice para compartir con la gente de @Splinterlands, para el #socialmendiachallenge. Tome como inspiración la carta de Magma Troll, la cual en su totalidad es enfocada en la habilidad de fuego, pero quise cambiar un par de cosas. Sin mas que decir, comencemos con el proceso del dibujo:
I started sketching the drawing, taking as a reference the original illustration of Magma Troll. I tried to make an ogre type at first, but then I thought of making it more human, leaving certain aspects of the original character. The truth is that I really liked the final sketch, so much so that I didn't want to work on the color, but I stopped fooling around and started to do the color work on the whole drawing. I wanted to add some horns to my drawing, to give a darker touch to the character and I feel that they looked great on my version of Magma Troll and to be honest, it doesn't look bad.
Comencé haciendo el boceto del dibujo, tomando como referencia la ilustración original de Magma Troll. Intente hacer un tipo ogro al principio, pero luego pensé en hacerlo mas humano, dejando ciertos aspectos del personaje original. La verdad el boceto final me gusto mucho, tanto así que no quería trabajar el color, pero me deje de tonterías y comencé a hacer el trabajo de color en todo el dibujo. Quise agregarles unos cuernos a mi dibujo, para darle un toque un poco mas oscuro al personaje y siento que le quedaron muy bien a mi versión de Magma Troll y siendo sincero, mal no se ve.

To do the color work, the only thing I did was to extract certain colors from the color palette of the original character, which if we look at it in detail, is mostly with warm colors but very dark. Magma Troll has mostly orange in its composition, but I didn't want to work my drawing with an orange color in general, so I chose to take orange, red and yellow to play with it and make my color palette, to use it in my work, taking it to that warm side that the original illustration gives to the eye.
Para hacer el trabajo de color, lo único que hice fue extraer ciertos colores de la paleta de color del personaje original, que si la observamos detalladamente, es un su mayoría con colores cálidos pero muy oscurecida. Magma Troll tiene mayormente naranja en su composición, pero no quise trabajar mi dibujo con un color naranja en general, así que opte por tomar el naranja, rojo y amarillo para jugar con ella y hacer mi paleta de color, para así usarla en mí trabajo, llevándola a ese lado cálido que da a la vista la ilustración original.

When I had a great advance in the color work, there was nothing left but to start with the details. For this drawing I wanted to integrate more line work in it and not to make so many shadows, because I felt that it would give a darker touch to the drawing and what I was looking for was to make a warm composition. Finally I added some details in white and shadows with black color in certain areas, but with a very light black tone and that would be it, that would be all.
Cuando ya tenia un gran avance en el trabajo de color, no quedaba otra cosa mas que comenzar con los detalles. Para este dibujo quise integrar más trabajo de linear en el mismo y no hacer tantas sombras, ya que sentía que le daría un toque mas oscuro al dibujo y lo que estaba buscando era hacer una composición cálida. Por ultimo agregue algunos detalles en blanco y sombras con color negro en ciertas zonas, pero con un tono de negro muy claro y listo, eso seria todo.
