These drawings are the first studies for a series of artworks inspired by the trilogy of [Gormenghast](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gormenghast_(series%29), three novels by English writer Mervyn Peake. I don't know how it will develop. I just know there will be buildings and architectures, in the artworks I will paint about it.

I've never read the books, but there was a TV series based on the books years ago. It was all very strange. Didn't Peake do his own illustrations? I do like yours though. Reminds me a bit of Escher.

Thx Steve. There will be also a new series from "Gormenghast" and one of the author of the screenplay is Neil Gaiman.
Yes, Peake was an illustrator too and made some artworks for his own books - expecially for the 3rd one, I think.
