A este punto algunas personas ya no les interesa sacrificar tanto por algo que es temporal como la belleza; algunas personas prefieren seguir con la realidad alterada de que alcanzar la perfección de la belleza es una realidad cuando, al final se quedan sin identidad y su humanidad se desvanece. ¿Que tanto puede hacer alguien con la disponibilidad económica en querer dejar todo por su realidad ser, por algo que nunca logrará llenar el vacío que le quedará en el proceso?
At this point, some people are no longer willing to make such sacrifices for something as fleeting as beauty; some prefer to cling to the illusion that achieving perfect beauty is a reality, even though, in the end, they lose their sense of self and their humanity fades away. How far is someone with the financial means willing to go in giving up everything for their ideal self—for something that will never fill the void left behind in the process?
Esas personas antes fueron ellos mismos. Pero debido a la gran influencia que hay en nuestro alrededor sobre alcanzar la "buena belleza", lo más probable es que hayan caído en este juego destructivo; quitándose lo poco que les queda y alterar partes del cuerpo que es irreversible. ¿Realmente vale la pena pasar por todo ese proceso para así ver que no era necesario hacer tantos cambios?
Those people used to be themselves. But because of the powerful pressure around us to achieve “ideal beauty,” they’ve likely fallen into this destructive cycle—stripping away what little they have left and altering parts of their bodies in ways that can’t be undone. Is it really worth going through all that just to realize in the end that so many changes weren’t necessary?
Es verdad; nosotros no somos quienes podemos impedirles en hacer lo que quieran hacerse con su cuerpo. Pero somos testigos que como será su proceso y en como puede afectarnos esto, ya sea para bien o para mal. Hay que reconocer que debido a la influencia mencionada anteriormente; es inevitable dejar de ver en cualquier parte a donde vayas, recomendaciones sobre como ser hermoso. El detalle es que eso es lo que ellos quieren que pienses, en vez de reconocer que nosotros somos seres humanos y tenemos gran variedad de apariencias únicas.
It’s true; we’re not the ones who can stop them from doing whatever they want with their bodies. But we are witnesses to how this process will unfold and how it might affect us, for better or for worse. We have to admit that, due to the influence mentioned earlier, it’s impossible to go anywhere without seeing recommendations on how to be beautiful. The thing is, that’s exactly what they want you to think, instead of acknowledging that we are human beings and come in a wide variety of unique forms.
Esto cada vez irá a peor, y solo nosotros mismos tenemos que aguantar de que esa gran parte que nos define, no se pierda para siempre.
This situation will only get worse, and it’s up to us to ensure that this essential part of who we are isn’t lost forever.
