Greetings friends of Alien Art Hive, today I want to share with you a special drawing I made for a friend for her birthday last Monday.
Her name is Yoselin Camacho and she is a big fan of reading and books in general.
We have many years of friendship, for a few years she lives in another country, but we are still in touch, I wanted to give her that book called "wings of blood" but it is very difficult to get at least the special edition which is the one she wanted.
Well I did this little detail that despite not being a book the detail is what counts hehe.

Saludos amigos de Alien Art Hive, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un dibujo especial que le hice a una amiga para su cumpleaños el pasado dia lunes.
Su nombre es Yoselin Camacho y es muy fanática de la lectura y los libros en general.
Tenemos muchísimos años de amistad, desde hace unos cuantos años ella vive en otro país, pero seguimos en contacto, quería regalarle ese libro llamado " alas de sangre" pero es muy dificil de conseguir al menos la edición especial que es la que ella quería.
Bueno hice este pequeño detalle que a pesar de no ser un libro el detalle es lo que cuenta jeje.
Reference
I used as reference several pictures of her, but I wanted to make a more original pose when drawing her, I think this is the picture I used as reference.
Use como referencia varias fotos de ella, pero quise hacer una pose más original al momento de dibujarla, creo que esta es la foto que más use como referencia.
Process/Proceso
We start the drawing with the sketch and its basic shape, the pose is original so it took me some time until I got what I was looking for.
Iniciamos el dibujo con el boceto y su forma básica, la pose es original por lo que me tomo algo de tiempo hasta que conseguí lo que buscaba
Once the sketch is ready, we create the lineart, for this we use a brush of 50% hardness and black color, having a little transparency I think it looks great when applying the color because it assimilates part of it.
Una vez listo el boceto, creamos el lineart, para esto usamos un pincel de dureza 50% y color negro, al tener un poco de transparencia creo que se ve genial al momento de aplicarle el color pues este asimila parte de el.
We applied the base color, for this I used a palette similar to the skin tone of the reference and how I remember her in person.

Aplicamos el color base, para esto use una paleta parecida al tono de piel de la referencia y a como yo la recuerdo en persona.

After finishing the base color, we apply the lights, I must say that the base color was thought as a dark tone or shadow, with that we only have to apply the lights to give relief and in very few places a darker tone to give more depth to the character.
Al terminar el color base, aplicamos las luces, debo decir que el color base fue pensado como un tono oscuro o sombra, con eso solo queda aplicar las luces para darle relieve y en muy pocos lugares un tono mas oscuro para darle mas profundidad al personaje.
After applying the highlights, we blur and apply again, I want to get a uniform result in the highlights.
Despues de aplicar las luces, difuminamos y aplicamos nuevamente, quiero conseguir un resultado uniforme en los brillos.
The book has black pages, at least the special edition, I will try to make it as similar as possible.
Ya solo quedan otros detalles, el libro es de hojas negras, al menos la edición especial, trataré de hacerlo lo mas parecido posible.
We finished applying the details such as the lens lenses, also for the cover of the book I thought about drawing it, but it would be a lot of work not to mention that it would not look good, we solved this by making a small montage and applying a multiply filter, all this with the tool sai program.
Terminamos de aplicar los detalles como los cristales de los lentes, también para la portada del libro pensé en dibujarla, pero fuera sido mucho trabajo sin mencionar que no iba a quedar bien, esto lo solucionamos haciendo un pequeño montaje y aplicando un filtro de multiplicar, todo esto con el programa tool sai.
Finally, a simple background that is very blurred and does not attract attention and that's it!
Finalmente, un fondo simple muy difuminado que no llame la atención y listo!
