Hey, maybe Elmer Fudd should appear in this reality show. Apparently his very first cartoon appearance is in the public domain. Of course, I wouldn't be able to use Viking Elmer, so... what's the point. But now I want to create an antagonist named Viking Elmer.
Or Elmo. Viking Elmo.

Those old Bugs cartoons are great. He would appear in drag and nobody got worked up about it. The violence level might be higher than what would be accepted now too.

When I saw later Looney Tunes cartoons, they just did not have the same comedic timing. Same characters and they looked the same, they just didn't quite have "it." And this was way before CGI or AI versions of the cartoons. I'm not sure who to credit for the polish of the old toons. Did they have a director? Was it the animation artists?
I think the best cartoons are not just aimed at kids. Later shows like Animaniacs and some of the Disney stuff had jokes for the parents. I always liked this one.
