The sewer creatures are finally tired of being underground.
The potato growing project and lost iguana from various childhood phases decided to convince the gaseous ghost to lift up the manhole.
After eating as many beans as it could find while inhaling as much methane as possible it was able to lift off with enough force to lift the manhole.
They had to tell the mutated fire breathing dragon to keep his voice down so as not to explode them all. He had to hold his breath during this process of escape and on the surface he will have to release a huge fireball to breath again.
The mutated goldfish that got flushed down the toilet was eager to get into some fresh water and to feed off snapping turtles. His mutation caused him to become a meat eater.
No one knows what this orange guy is, he just sort of hangs around but is eager to go with the group to the surface. He is hoping to find a vat of Fanta to swim in.
With the help of a trashed Tesla bot they will all be able to navigate the surface and to start pillaging the fresh food on the surface. The big green jello mold that became sentient from toxic sludge is eager to absorb more jello into its system to grow even larger.
The question is... Will the humans above allow these creatures to exist with them? If not at least they have an angry pink beast to chew them up and various worms to wrap up any enemies in their wake. Maybe the humans will be happy to have them amongst them and will weaponize them against warring factions. The creatures better stay in a collective so as not to become feared and hated in the upper world.

Have you painted all the figures, because they are good and the story too. Yes, I believe there is a race that lives deep underground, think of all the stories about the underground, like here in Sweden there is our subconscious!
They are almost painted, I might add a bit more shading and highlights then balance some of the line weights a bit more. The characters were spontaneous as I always wanted to make a pile of cartoonish creatures. Lord knows these things were in my subconscious for a while lol.
Hmm, I should invite my friends over next time i eat too many beans and need to clean out the fridge so I can recreate your art IRL!

Ah yes where the wild things are is now starting to become one of my daughter's favorite books. I'm probably getting mind controlled by all these books and it ends up with these things coming out in my drawings.
