Hello Alien Art community,
continuing with my participation in Cosmic Creation Edition 9, I present my design inspired by the cover of "ANIMAL FARM",also known as 'Rebellion on the Farm' in other contexts. This book by George Orwell takes us on a reflection about a political party. It also has an animated adaptation, and it is extremely interesting how each animal is assigned a role in society. Without further ado, let's continue with the design process.

ontinuando con mi participación en Cosmic Creation Edición 9, les presento mi diseño inspirado en la portada de 'ANIMAL FARM' conocida en otros ámbitos como 'Rebelión en la granja'. Este libro, escrito por George Orwell, lleva a una reflexión sobre un partido político. También cuenta con una adaptación cinematográfica, y resulta sumamente interesante todo lo planteado y cómo se asigna a cada animal un rol en la sociedad. Sin más que decir, continuemos con el proceso del diseño
DISIGN / DISEÑO
Original cover
To begin the design, I generated these images that would be the main protagonists of the cover, as observed initially. I used the head of a pig merged with the body of a military figure, which, if you've read the book, will understand the context. I want to emphasize that it is simply an interpretation of a book that I loved, and I'm not attempting to address political issues, just art.
I continued by combining the images and created shadows on both the forehead and neck to match the shadows and achieve a more profound fusion.
Para comenzar con el diseño, generé estas imágenes que serían los protagonistas principales de la portada, como se observa inicialmente. Utilicé la cabeza de un cerdo fusionada con el cuerpo de un militar, lo cual, si se ha leído el libro, se entenderá el contexto. Quiero enfatizar que es simplemente una interpretación de un libro que me encantó, y no intento abordar temas políticos, solo arte.
Continué uniendo las imágenes y creé sombras tanto en la frente como en el cuello para igualar las sombras y lograr una fusión más profunda
Once the main object was in place, I proceeded with the background, creating those lines with a light effect using the 'color picker' tool and gradient. This allowed me to achieve the desired effect, similar to the original cover. However, a visual conflict arose as the color of the military suit had a very high color temperature range and did not achieve a suitable contrast
Una vez que el objeto principal estaba colocado, procedí al fondo, creando esas líneas con un efecto de luz utilizando la herramienta 'toma color' y degradé. Así, pude concretar ese efecto que se buscaba, similar al de la portada original. Aunque surgía un conflicto visual, ya que el color del traje militar tenía una gama muy alta de temperatura de color y no lograba un contraste adecuado
So, I lowered its tonality and converted it to gray, making it more suitable for the background. I placed a Greek arch and used the created radial sun effect as a clipping mask.
Así que reduje su tonalidad y lo convertí a gris, quedando así más adecuado al fondo. Coloqué un arco griego y utilicé el efecto de sol radial creado como máscara de recorte
I placed the silhouette of a windmill, with a field for the background of the arch, and for the title letters, a low mustard-toned color. This was done to perfectly match the low-brightness colors and not disturb the view essentially.
Coloqué la silueta de un molino, con un campo para el fondo del arco y para las letras del título un color en tonalidad baja mostaza. Esto se hizo para combinar perfectamente con los colores de bajo brillo y no molestar a la vista esencialmente
For the main figure, I created another copy and used a motion blur filter, slightly altering the shape to give that shadowy aspect that the cover conveys. Below it, I added a phrase and played with pixel sizes for the fonts.
Behind the arch, we can also observe the detail of NOCHAINS, to provide more contrast to the red.
Para la figura principal, creé otra copia y utilicé un filtro de desenfoque de movimiento, alterando un poco la forma para dar ese aspecto sombrío que transmite la portada. Por debajo, la acompañé con una frase, y jugué con los píxeles de tamaño para las fuentes.
Por detrás del arco, también podemos observar el detalle de NOCHAINS, para brindarle más contraste al rojo.
To conclude the design, in the background, I placed a field with a house to further support the farm idea. I used the overlay blending mode to adhere to the red contrast. Finally, I applied a noise texture to provide a worn or scratched effect. And the final result was as desired. I hope you liked it.
Para dar por finalizado el diseño, en el fondo coloqué un campo con una casa para apoyar aún más la idea de granja. Utilicé el modo de fusión superponer para apegarse al contraste rojo. Por último, empleé una textura de ruido para brindar un efecto desgastado o rayado. Y el resultado final fue el deseado. Espero que te haya gustado.
