Nah, no solar. I rely on electricity usually being ubiquitous in 1st world countries. I am actually housed now though, so no more scrambling for volts for the next eight days.
I see a fair few places offering USB charging, but then you have to be careful what you plug into. There are cables that prevent malicious data, but still give you the charging power.It does help if your gadgets have good battery life.
Definitely. I upgraded my Surface a couple years ago which extended the battery life from 45 minutes to about 4 hours. Much more convenient.
