Aaarg, the title of my Art Blog today sounds funnier in German. Because Augen means eye and Blick means gaze or glance would actually be "an eye glace in life", but does that still make sense in English?
I don't know, but enough of the linguistic confusion and on to today's drawing. It's a simple and straightforward one. I think every artist - regardless of whether they have purely technical skills or a totally creative mind - has phases in which anatomical objects catch the eye and attract attention. I take it as today's quick drawing training. It was drawn over 2 hours while I was enjoying my delicious moccha. I stayed on just one layer, as close to the real sheet of paper as possible. I practiced a bit of mirroring and therefore chose a small alien and a UFO mothership as reflections in the eye.
What do you think of my little black and white drawing? Too simple?

Ein Augenblick im Leben...
Aaarg, auf deutsch klingt der Titel meines heutigen Art Blogs lustiger. Weil Augen soviel heißt wie eye und Blick soviel wie gaze oder glance wäre es dann eigentlich "an eye glace in life", doch macht das auf englisch noch Sinn? Ich weiß es nicht, nun aber genug vom Sprachwirrwarr und ab zur heutigen Zeichnung. Es ist eine schlichte und einfache. Ich glaube jeder Künstler - egal ob rein technische Skills oder total kreativer Verstand - hat Phasen, in denen anatomische Objekte ins Auge fallen und die Aufmerksamkeit erregen. Ich nahms als heutiges, schnelles Zeichentraining. Es wurde zu einem köstlichen Moccha über 2 Stunden gezeichnet. Ich blieb auf lediglich einer Ebene, so nah am realen Blattpapier wie möglich. Ich habe mal ein bisschen Spiegelungen geübt und daher ein kleines Alien und ein UFO Mutterschiff als Reflektierung im Auge gewählt.
Was sagt ihr zu meiner kleinen schwarz-weiß Zeichnung? Zu einfach?
