Hello Friends. I present to you all my digital art of Kron The Undying as my entry for this week's splinterlands art Contest. This is one of the the most fascinating characters from Splinterlands mostly because of the fact that he's a centaur. Kron is the leader of the Centauri people of Anumun and he's named the undying because he discovered a secret that has helped him conquer mortality and has made him outlive generations. He's always in company of the Spirit of the Forest and has developed some magic skills over the years of his immortality.
To create this art, I got my inspiration from the card and tried to bring the character to life using several tools. First, I got the picture of a horse, a ripped male and a forest scene. I created the centaur figure (half man, half horse) using the horse and male figure and then added some accessories like the magical staff and some features like the antlers the head and beard.
Next, I added some magical clouds formed by the magical staff and did some painting on the figure and his surrounding. Afterwards I edited the photo for cinematic and realistic feel. The most challenging area of creating this piece is trying to blend the human figure and the horse. Majorly, trying to have a realistic appearance was the goal all through and I'm glad I got the result I wanted.
The green colour and the forest scene were used to depict his company with Spirit of the forest and also to show he was an entity of the Earth unit.
