In a case whereby the art is physical and handy but there is a digital version which has been minted. Does getting the digital version affects the handy real work in any way?
Not really they are two seperate entities, some artists who work in physical will offer to send the NFT buyer the painting too but we can't really enforce or verify that via the blockchain so it's more if a personal deal.
