Sketchy Stretchy Skull

in Alien Art Hive2 months ago

Hey yo, it's Byron late at night drawing and painting skulls like I do. Tonight I started to sketch in my sketchbook because that's also what I do. I really should get back into drawing and painting on studio quality paper and canvases, but that stuff just stacks up and I need to move soon so the last thing I should do is get back into canvases. Maybe I could repaint over some of those old paintings? I probably won't. Anyways ... back to the post. I sketched out a skull. It is pretty big measuring around 9"x12" which is larger than I often draw just 1 skull.

After I was satisfied that I couldn't make the drawing any worse, I let it dry for a bit before hitting it with the watercolour paint. I will say this about using the studio quality papers, they can take a better beating than this sketchbook paper does. That said, I know how to handle this thin paper so it worked out and I didn't rip it.

Once it dried again I took a pic and then edited it to show you what you see now. A fully painted sketchy skull that is having a cup of decaf coffee since it's late and it's tired.

I did go over the painting again with my black ink pen because that's what I do. I didn't add any gel pen highlights, which isn't what I always do. I try to be funny which is something I shouldn't do.
Thanks for reading, have a good night
