In June I noticed my Windows based Video programs were not working anymore. This was quite frustrating, particularly since I was using the old Windows Movie Maker (which is much better and more versatile than what they came out with now). Unfortunately, nothing worked anymore, neither any of the Windows based players. The only one that worked for me then was the VLC Media Player. Later I found another called DVD Player-Free (surprisingly also a Microsoft product, but it worked), and for editing a open source software called OpenShot Video Editor. It was a learning curve using these. But a week ago there was a big Windows update, which took all night to download and process, and behold, after that everything was working again! So what I show here is a test video, the footage recorded with my x-box app from 3Dthis some time ago, and now finally able to edit in Windows Movie Maker .

Above are stills taken from the video. Hopefully you find the links in my intro on top useful. For the old Windows Movie Maker, you would have to google for sources - it is offered as a free download on some sites, but check it out, some may not be as good as others, like Microsoft (maybe a self-serving warning) claims that they may contain malware. As it were, mine is still the 2012 version that came with my windows back then when I had Vista, but it updated no problem to Windows 10.
