Happy New Month!
October 1st marked Independence Day here, yet it was the most insignificant one I’ve ever witnessed. The national spirit feels completely drained—people hardly care about celebrating anymore. Everyone is worn out. And while I’m not old enough to recall the military regimes, I can’t help but wonder if they would be worse than what we have now, because what we call government today feels very close to hell.
But enough of the heavy stuff. Let’s escape reality for a moment and enjoy the little things still within our control. For me, that’s gardening. On the last day of September, I transplanted nearly 15 pepper plants outdoors, and added a few more this morning. I also found chili seeds to start a fresh nursery set. Soon I’ll be experimenting with store-bought watermelon and cucumber seeds—not that I love eating them, but the thought of growing them myself is exciting.
And then, of course, there’s art. I haven’t picked up my pencil in a week, but I’ve been editing and exporting older pieces. For October, I’m thinking of leaning into the season with heavy black inks and bold, over-the-top designs. Here’s one I call Bite—a perfect fit for the mood of the month.
With flowers because I can’t get enough of plants. Well that’s all from me.
Enjoy your weekend !!!
