As you know my studio is now inside of a computer. I applied for an artist grant with the Artist Program and actually won, so I have been working on a piece for that. I am going to transform an html RPG game into a piece of visual art.
My new coworker at work where I go to mine fiat, is a coder. He taught himself but he makes games. i think he is downplaying his abilities, but he knows c# and thats how he makes games. he used to make games for newgrounds. He told me to make 3d assets for a game. i told him i want to wait till they make it easier for artists to interface with 3d because blender is way to complicated to learn. he told me about a really cool program called Crocotile.
Crocotile is very intuitive and you can paint the UV maps in real time. its designed to whip up low poly models for games. im enjoying messing around with it and i hope i can get to the point where i can design a skateboarder for a 3d quest for stoken game.
I started trying to learn Godot. its a game dev software like game maker but its 3-d. its much better than game maker so i have heard. its open source too. im tasked with learning it if i want to work with my coworker on a game.
i followed a one hour tutorial that basically built quest for stoken in an hour, the mechanics anyway. i want to polish this up and add all original art to it, and then send it to my co worker so he can see.
skatehive logo needed a remodel so i fixed this up.
the art world vs. a straight white male.
whos gonna win?
probably not the straight white male.
i miss the studio but oh well.
maybe i will make a art studio simulator where i build my studio in crocotile and make a little game where you walk around in it making art. would that be sad?
whatever.
lets see. what else...
oh yeah!
i got an ipad from that artist program grant!
im making layers.
its crazy the ipad records everything you do and you can re watch it as a time lapse.
this could be a new way for me to make content for my instagram. to keep my art folowers interested. i dont know if this is seen as lazy though. there is a huge difference between physical and digital art and one of the main things thats crazy about the ipad is that you can UNDO a move. in real life you cant un-do anything lol. i try to never un-do stuff and just pretend its real so hopefully that is communicated through to the viewer.
Anyways, this is where i am at. i am going to keep explorin the digital realms seeing what i can make art out of, within it. wish me luck! and i will keep you posted here on the hive blocks best i can. thanks for taking the time to visit my studio here in blog form. till next time!

yo! dont give app. uve some talent for sure even for a straight white skater artist.
please ! notice! almost all famous artists were straight white guys on highs of hobbies, not always talented, so your not on minority at all. when u involve ur art in money laundering though, carefull. cause its superrisky with cells monitoring and other incidents/ axidents. shit happens as dj darren could (still can?) explain. best off lucke!
hopefully the world doesnt forget about me by the time i come back to painting
im gonna remember you when I finally get succrssfull in the world of crypto, Zack :)
