Hey everyone! This week I’m joining the Splinterlands art contest again with a piece I had a lot of fun making. It was one of those chill sessions where the main goal was just to create, enjoy the process, and hang out a bit with friends while the artwork came together.

I did everything in Photoshop at this moment hahah, just messing around and seeing how things would turn out. Nothing crazy, just trying to get the shapes, colors, and details in a way that felt right. I was mostly experimenting, moving things around, undoing stuff, and trying again until it started to look good. Some parts changed a few times along the way, but that’s part of the fun. I wasn’t overthinking it, just enjoying the flow and letting the piece slowly come together in a natural way.

This is the character I have taken as a reference for this week.
The process wasn’t rushed at all. I took my time to lay down the base, fix proportions, and tweak stuff along the way. I really like going step by step instead of trying to finish too fast—it just makes the piece feel better in the end. I also spent a lot of time playing with little details, seeing how small changes could make the whole composition look a bit different. Sometimes I would step back, look at the piece from a distance, and just think about what felt right. It was really satisfying to slowly see everything come together, and taking it slow actually made the whole experience more enjoyable. I could experiment a bit without worrying about messing up, and that freedom made the process fun and relaxing. Each part of the drawing felt like its own small accomplishment, which added to the enjoyment overall.

A big part of it was done on stream , which always adds a different vibe. Streaming live keeps you on your toes but also makes the whole thing more fun and interactive.

During the stream, we actually did the character selection together, picking who to draw while chatting and laughing. That part alone was super fun and set the tone for the whole session. We spent a few hours just having fun, mixing focused drawing with random jokes and convo. Honestly, that relaxed vibe makes a huge difference when you’re creating . .. it’s way more enjoyable than working solo in silence.

No pressure to make it fancy or over the top. The goal was just to keep it simple, clean, and let the artwork grow naturally without forcing anything.

Creating in a shared space like this reminds you that art doesn’t have to be lonely. Even virtually, having friends around makes the process more energetic and inspiring.

Joining the Splinterlands contest regularly is awesome for staying consistent with practice, learning new things, and just keeping the creative streak alive, even on simple projects.

It was just a super chill session overall, messing around with ideas, trying different things, and laughing at some of the random stuff that came up while drawing. We spent a lot of time experimenting with different poses, colors, and small details, seeing what worked best and sometimes just having fun with what didn’t. Picking the character during the stream was especially fun and set a really light, playful mood for the whole process. I also enjoyed just stopping for little breaks, joking around, and seeing how tiny changes could make the piece feel a bit different. All of that made the hours fly by and added a kind of energy that you can really feel in the final piece. I’m super happy with how it turned out, and it definitely reflects the fun and relaxed vibe of the whole session.
Thank you very much for taking the time to view my work.
