This post announced that ecash had come to the Wusang game. In short, anyone playing the game stands a chance of finding a hidden treasure of bitcoin sats in the form of ecash. I started the ecash cache with a few sats, but said I'd add any donated sats and would also add sats bought from the post's hive rewards. So, here's the update...
Question: How many sats are in the hidden @Wusang ecash cache?
The original post above mentions that the treasure chest of sats comes from:
x = @crrdlx already loaded some sats into the ecash treasure cache.
y = Anyone could send some sats to @crrdlx and those sats would be added in. There were 1,782 sats donated.
z = The rewards from the post would be added, which came to 2,139 sats tossed in.
So, n is the number of sats...
n = x + y + z
n = x + 1,782 + 2,139
n = x + 3,921
Answer: the hidden Wusang treasure ecash cache holds 3,921 sats plus whatever amount was put in to start.
The exact amount is a mystery...hunting for a pirate treasure holds an element of the unknown...that makes searching for it more fun. More details and how to search for the cache are here. It's not a ton of sats, but with bitcoin currently pressing toward and all time high, who knows what those sats might be worth one day? 😀
Drilling in on the numbers...
The plan was to take the post rewards, convert them to sats, and add them to the ecash cache. The seven day reward period ended yesterday and the post rewards are shown below.
Figuring out hive rewards and getting them over to sats was a little trickier than I expected.
The rewards above means that's 1.947 "Hive Rewards" minus 20% to @commentrewarder as a beneficiary. So, 1.947 times 80% is 1.5576 Hive Rewards. Since my rewards were split 50%/50% between HBD and HP, that comes to 0.7788 HBD and 4.326 HP (which is the amount of HIVE 0.7788 HBD could currently buy).
I'm assuming the 1.5576 hive rewards is shown in HBD (before being split into HBD and HP at a 50/50 rate). So, I just used https://v4v.app to convert 1.5576 HBD into sats and add that to the ecash treasure cache. Sending 1.5576 HBD, the v4v.app got 2,139 sats added.
In addition, 1,782 sats were donated straight to me, @crrdlx, and I simply added them into the treasure cache.
All told, the cache has 3,921 sats plus whatever was put in to start things off.

I would say slow traction. It's not climbing Mt Everest, it's been gradually walking up the piedmont. (And I'm okay with that.)

No doubt! We almost hit a bitcoin ATH today. Who knows what happens tomorrow?! 😀 On a somewhat related note, I just saw the headline below and thought this is really bullish all around. Now that BTC is in ETFs and making its way into retirement funds, it's definitely happening and reaching the point of no return (I think we're already there). It used to be where bitcoin was for the crazies. It's come to the point where it's irresponsible to NOT have BTC in your portfolio to some degree.
