Like most things, costs spiral out of control which is why the have and have not society is closer each year. The gap between those who can't afford things and those who can will get bigger, evidenced by a declining proportion of "middle class" with many slipping backwards into the lower areas. Of course, many are the architect of their own situations due to fomo and other such spending; trying to keep up with others while not having the same income is a road to failure.

Yes, it definitely is a dangerous slope to feed that addiction to stuff. Insurance is another one where the prices are just skyrocketing and we have zero recourse on that front.
Yeah, true and the same here. A lot of it is due to price gouging but an element is the increase in fraudulent claimed.
Yeah, it's a broken system in general.
