RE: Freewrite: "The sweetness of a new opportunity", by bonzopoe

Euphoria is a drug that if not dosed can make life miserable.

This very line, although it may appear simple, has taught me to cherish the value of happiness from a different perspective. It ought to give balance, thus its partial absence in some portions of our lives.

Eyes that look very closely at the sun lose the ability to appreciate the details that are hidden in the shadows.

I believe this is very in line with the first sentence I quoted. As much as we crave joy most times and as much as we detest the darkness that comes with it, we are bound to embrace such dullness. Otherwise, we will be only putting ourselves in an illusion that we can only live life if we are happy. When, in fact, life is lived best once we find moments of darkness as catalysts that lead us to growth and the truest of joy instead of mere discouragements.

Thank you very much for your comment. I am very flattered that you have taken some quotes from my text, and your impressions on it. When one writes he never knows if his words will resonate with someone, and it is always comforting to know that it is. A hug and greetings from Mexico.
