The rain had been falling for hours, turning the path into a slippery mess.
I tried to take one careful step, but the ground betrayed me — my foot sank deep, and a splash of cold mud hit me straight in the face.
For a second, I just stood there, blinking through the brown blur, tasting earth and irony.
Sometimes life does that — throws a bit of mud in your eye just to remind you that you’re still walking your path, still alive, still learning to laugh at yourself.
And so I did. I laughed, even as the rain washed away the proof.
