I looked everywhere, the stash of cash was nowhere to be found. I turned the house upside down in my search, all to no avail.
I had been keeping the money for my cousin. He had been planning to travel for an international conference, and he had kept it with me for safekeeping. How could I tell him the money was no more?
To get the money off my mind, i also got it out of sight. I hid the money in what I thought to be a safe place. Apparently, it was too safe, seeing as I had now forgotten my hiding spot.
Any moment now he would be coming for his money, and I don't know how to tell him.
That's when I remember the hiding place. I ran to my room and pulled down my old case, one I had inherited from my Dad. I opened it and emptied it's contents on my bed.
The money was at the bottom of the case.
