Latma

Latma was Morgan’s wife and Denise’s mother. Sadly, Latma was killed when Adoy was filled with toxic gases.

Leanne

Leanne was a representative for the West Region. She was the only representative to win a seat in the General Election after the events in Adoy. Leanne fell out with Lily when it was revealed Lily had a relationship with Pardi.

Leanne’s relationship with Lily worsened when she found out Lily had gone behind her back to gain support from representatives from other regions. Lily wanted to expose the Pardi’s plan to contaminate the water supply. Leanne thought this was a stunt to regain her popularity. Leanne teamed up with the other representatives from the West Region and the Head Enforcer.

Leanne shapeshifted into the scientist that Lily invited on stage to prove the water had been contaminated. Instead, Leanna, as the scientist, claimed the water was contaminated, but the solution provided by Pardi had removed the contamination. This led to Lily’s arrest and then to her public execution. Leanne was overwhelmed with this outcome. She blamed herself for Lily’s death. This led to her suicide.

Lendall/L8

Lendall is the eldest son of Portia Alset, who is the second eldest daughter of Locum Alset. He volunteered to be frozen in a pod at Location 8.

Lily, aka the GOAT

Lily.jpg

Lily’s birth name was Lula, and her parents were an ambitious Sapien couple. Her parents were killed because they had advanced too far within the Sapien Loop Transport Company. They were replaced by Linap, who shapeshifted into her parents. Lula and her sister Maggie were also targeted to be killed, but they had the ability to become invisible. The Bramley gene within them was very active and was the reason they had this ability.

Being able to shapeshift made both Lula and Maggie a huge threat to the Linap. To cover for them, Earl Carvaress found a Linap couple to adopt Lula and Maggie. Lula changed her name to Lily, and Maggie changed her name to Milly. They grew up protected in their new family. The other elites did not know about this.

Lily was incredibly ambitious. She won the trust of Merida, the Head Philosopher of the House of Divine Knowledge. She supported Lily to run as a representative for the West Region. Lily was successful in running her campaign and became a representative. Within a few years, Lily won a position as a governor.

In a meeting at the Economic Institute, Lily was exposed as a Sapien. However, August, who was posing as Senyek, and Maskameera, who was posing as Ofnisim, promised they would not expose Lily as a Sapien and would support her ambitious spending plans if she promised to do them the occasional favour. Lily then asked them if they could help her locate her adopted parents, who had gone missing. Senyek agreed to help in exchange for confirmation of her long-term commitment to their agreement.

Senyek honoured his side of the agreements with Lily. He found her parents and funded all her spending programmes. Lily followed up by honouring her side of the agreement. Lily was incredibly successful as a governor. This was partly because she could keep all her promises and because she was the most charismatic governor in Sapey. She was able to influence all of the other House of Divine Knowledge governors and representatives. Since the majority of governors and representatives were affiliated with the House of Divine Knowledge, Lily controlled the government and its policies.

Leaders in the Business Sector did not like the amount of power she held nor many of the decisions she was making. The tragic events, which were manipulated by Pardi Carvaress, were done to demonstrate that the policies of the Government led to the unrest in Adoy and were going to lead to further unrest in other regions.

There was a vote of ‘no confidence’ on the Government. It was timed so that Lily would not participate in the debate. This was because it was her turn to chair the session. Governor Collingswaggle made a very strong argument. The House of Divine Knowledge-affiliated representatives felt they had no choice but to vote against the Government.

After the vote of ‘no confidence’, Lily knew her power would be curtailed under the new Government. Therefore, she approached Pardi to make a deal. She wanted Pardi to help her obtain at least four governors to prevent the Business Sector from gaining a nine-to-three supermajority that would enable them to completely control the Government. Without the supermajority, Lily could use the representatives to maintain control.

Pardi was insincere and secretly worked with the Business Sector to ensure they obtained the necessary nine governor positions for control over the Government. Pardi managed to deceive Lily into believing that he was genuinely on her side. Just before the General Election, Pardi decided to betray Lily by exposing his relationship with her. This cost Lily her seat as a representative.

After her betrayal, Lily diverted her focus on the solution that was being transported to the regions. Her loss of power meant she lacked access to information. However, she still had contacts who were willing to help her, and she still had access to the Jennifer AI software.

It did not take long for her to find out that the solution was toxic. She made a public address to expose the toxic solution. However, her former friend, who claimed the water was toxic prior to the solution being added, had replaced her scientist. Lily, out of desperation, revealed her Linap form. She was immediately arrested.

Just prior to her arrest, a misinformation law had been passed. This meant Lily faced the death sentence. Pardi did not want Lily to be executed. Therefore, he made a deal that if Lily retracted what she said, she would have her sentenced to just rehabilitation.

Lily agreed she would retract her previous statements. On her day of execution, she did not retract her statements; therefore, she was executed. Or was she? After Pardi’s visit, a girl went to her cell for final prayers. The girl had been told by Maskameera to take Lily’s place. Lily reluctantly agreed. The girl shapeshifted into Lily, and Lily into the girl. Lily then left the prison.

Lily returned by impersonating a newly elected governor named Rotiart. At this point, she was in Maskameera’s debt for saving her life. She was told to bring down the House of Divine Knowledge by manipulating the newly elected representatives to vote to ban it. She managed to achieve this, and this led to chaos breaking out all across Sapey.

Planted and imbedded agent provocateurs further incited this chaos. August and Maskameera wanted riots to break out across all of Sapey. The intention was to draw out the enforcers from the Capital Region to quell them. This would leave the Capital Region vulnerable to an attack from the Sentray, who had now emerged from the ocean.

While the Sentray were attacking the Capital Region, Lily revealed to Pardi she was still alive. She revealed several facts to Pardi, which enraged him. This led to him trying to kill her, but she managed to stab him several times. Once she believed he was going to inevitably die, she left him and proceeded to take the serum he had been working on. She loaded it up into his helicopter and fled the Capital Region.

Lily used her position as the last remaining governor to regain control over Jennifer. She used Jennifer to take over the Capital Region enforcer flying vehicles.

Her next target was Orcille. Before completing her goal of killing Orcille, Cella called back the helicopter to the Capital Region. She was taken to Pardi’s hidden cave. Pardi captured Lily and froze her in a pod.

Six years later, Lily was defrosted. Orcilla decided that Lily needed to be defrosted because she was the only one who would be able to read the documents written in the ancient language of Parelic. Lily was taken to the Downs Region, where she translated the documents.

Lily was restricted to the hotel, as she was considered a threat. Yassme still liked Lily, and she visited her frequently. Lily immediately detected the divide between Yassme and Orcilla. She used this as a point of attack to create a rift between both Yassme and Orcilla and Yassme and her twin sister, Yassmay. She wanted to weaken Orcilla’s leadership and create the opportunity to take back some power for herself.

When the underground Linap arrived, Lily saw her opportunity to win favour with them by using her influence over Yassme, who now deeply resented Orcilla, to severely injure Orcilla. This forced Orcilla’s team to agree to all the terms of the underground Linap’s team, which was now led by Tiberius.

Lily, with her access to Jennifer, had some control over Tiberius, who had the Jennifer chip implanted in his brain. Lily knew that August and Maskameera had access to Jennifer and had significant control over Tiberius. However, Tiberius would become the face of the new leadership team, but Lily desired to be just one step behind.

Locom

Locom is the nephew of Niart Metro. He owned the Sapien Loop Transport Company when the Sentray attacked.

Locum Alset

Locum Alset was the head of the Alset family. He was famous for his blue eyes. They were a symptom of his genetic condition. This condition greatly enhanced his intelligence, but he was also plagued with many illnesses and disabilities. Despite poor health for most of his life, he managed to live to old age. This was mostly because of his brilliance in being able to treat his own conditions. This also had to do with him passing on the secret of his intelligence to his children and grandchildren.

Locum invented a serum that, when taken, would temporarily raise intelligence without the health impacts he suffered from. However, this was only the case if it was taken in moderation. It was also only deemed safe to be taken by his own family members. The serum was unofficially called ‘the blue juice’. The secret of the serum did not last forever.

In the North District before he started a family, Locum raised Sanguine. He raised him from a terrified boy shocked from the horrors of the rebellion to an intelligent young adult. Unfortunately, Sanguine never really recovered from his traumatic experience and was soon triggered by further events.

Despite his problems, Sanguine always remained loyal to Locum, even though he did not like the rest of his family. He resented them for taking Locum’s time away from him.

Louis

Louis was a Sapien rescued from the Tarrus Region. He formerly worked as a research assistant. In Downs, he became a senior maintenance worker. He joined Denise on her exploration of the underground tunnels.

Louis did not have a good relationship with Eugene, the Head Enforcer of the Downs Region. He thought Eugene was a fool, and Eugene did not trust him. Eugene’s distrust deepened when Louis abandoned his team when they encountered the underground Linap. Denise heard Louis talking to someone in the flying vehicle, which made her suspicious of him as well. Eugene decided to lock Louis up in the hotel until he could find out more about him and his intentions.

Lucas Carvaress

Lucas Carvaress was the owner of the Carvaress Company just prior to the creation of the Downs Region. He invented the procedure to terminate unborn babies.

Lucy

Lucy was Duffo’s mother. She gave birth to him in the Alset facility in the North District. She cared for him in the first few months of his life. Lucy and the other mothers were forced to flee the facility when Patricia sent the guards to capture and possibly kill them. The bus they escaped in was forced off a cliff. Lucy sacrificed herself to save Duffo’s life in the crash.

Lynna Alset

Lynna Alset was Hadrian’s wife and Demadrian’s mother. She moved to an underground city when the enforcers attacked Carrington City. Hadrian decided to live out his life with her rather than be frozen in a pod.

Mac

Mac was a representative and a candidate to become a governor in the Governors Election.

Maia

Maia was the wife of Marlon Carvaress.

Malcolm Carvaress

Malcolm Carvaress was the husband of Teahena Carvaress and the father of Noilemac. The Carvaress family was a noble northern family. The family survived the rebellion by hiding in the mountains. However, the fortunes of the family changed.

Tiberius visited the Carvaress family to inform them about what happened to their child, Noilemac, as well as reveal to them that an orphan was in their home impersonating her. Tiberius used this opportunity to trap them in the library. Tiberius proceeded to set the house on fire. Both Malcolm and Teahena were killed in the fire.

Margo

Margo was one of only three governors affiliated with the House of Divine Knowledge after the previous Government was disbanded with a vote of ‘no confidence’.

Maria

Maria was the representative that Lily wanted to replace Jallelle. However, she did not receive enough points in the vote to win a governor spot.

Maria (Baby)

Maria was one of the new Linap babies born in the Alset facility in the North District. Sadly, she died when the bus she and the other babies and mothers were on was forced over a cliff.

Marlon Carvaress

Marlon.jpg

Marlon Carvaress was one of the new Linap babies born in the Alset facility in the North District. He was on the bus that attempted to escape the pursuing enforcers before it was forced off a cliff. Marlon miraculously survived when he was shielded by his mother during the crash. The Hat Lady pulled him and Duffo from the wreckage and took them back to the Capital District.

Duffo and Marlon were believed to be related to Noilemac. Therefore, they were declared noble and given the Carvaress name. Ginger was appointed their legal guardian.

When Tiberius became governor, Marlon, Duffo, and Ginger moved into the palace. Tiberius played an important role in both Marlon and Duffo’s upbringing. As Ginger’s wealth accumulated, they moved out of the palace to their own estate. At this point, Tiberius had strong faith in both boys; he considered making one of them his successor. He promoted them to understudy high positions in Government. Duffo understudied as deputy Head Enforcer and Marlon as deputy head of the Economic Institute.

Within a few years, Marlon was promoted to head of the Economic Institute. Shortly afterwards, the enforcers, led by Tiberius and Duffo, attacked and destroyed the Carrington and Cellrebrum cities. Neither Duffo nor Tiberius returned. Sanguine, the most senior leader in the Government, committed suicide. By default, this left Marlon in charge.

Marlon decided to call an election immediately to determine who should form their new Government. Marlon ran in the election but lost because of his ties to the previous Government.

Marlon moved away from politics and started the Carvaress Company. Here he began his quest to cure the next generation of new Linap. Unfortunately, Marlon received little support from the pharmaceutical companies or the Business Sector in general, who were interested in profiting from temporary treatments for symptoms.

Eventually, Marlon concluded that Locum Alset was right and that back-breeding was the only way to eliminate illness caused by the new Linap’s genetics. Marlon was met with a huge problem. The new Linap considered the unmodified Linap as inferior to them. Most believed back-breeding would taint their new species. Instead, they wanted to pursue a cure. However, this cure never came. Marlon continued to pursue a back-breeding programme, but it was shut down with tragic consequences.

Years later, once Sapey had reached a total collapse that was near irreversible, an emergency Government was formed consisting of twelve governors. Back-breeding was still ruled out by the new Linap, but they had another plan instead. They wanted to create two new species that would keep the country running for the Linap. Marlon was responsible for creating one of these new species. His work was also used to help August Rezif with another project. This project was one of the reasons he wanted to pursue the creation of the new species.

Maskameera Wolf

Maskameera.jpg

Maskameera Wolf was a first-generation new Linap. She was the daughter of Serena Wolf. She was the founder of Wolf Media. When she was a teenager, she worked closely with James Yensid. From him, she learnt the power of media and how it can be used to manipulate the masses.

Several years later, she distanced herself from James. Instead, she decided to work with and promote Jason Bramley and supported his candidacy to become governor. Jason was also popular with many other new Linap in the Business Sector. From what she learnt from James, she was able to manipulate Jason, thus making her incredibly powerful.

Her grip on power grew weaker as Sapey rapidly crumbled without a healthy new generation of Linap. Eventually she became a part of an emergency Government. The emergency Government decided to create new species, which she supported. However, she was unhappy that one of the new species, Sapiens, would be given special protection.

August Rezif met with Maskameera Wolf to explain why the creation of the Sapien was so important to him. He had adapted the advancements in technology to manipulate genetics in a manner that would benefit himself and Maskameera. He had Sentray eggs. The Sentray DNA from the eggs could make them immortal. Maskameera agreed to allow August to modify her DNA after he demonstrated that it worked. The change in DNA made Maskameera immortal, but it also changed her physical appearance. She was significantly taller and had become lizard-like in appearance. However, she was able to shapeshift to resemble a Linap or a Sapien.

With new medications for the Linap, the population finally stabilised, but it was small. The Sapien population flourished and far outgrew the Linap population. The Linap went into hiding by shapeshifting into Sapiens. At the same time, they maintained control over Sapey.

Maskameera remained mostly in media, where she influenced every single generation with her propaganda. She worked closely with August, who spent almost his entire time running the Economic Institute with different personas. For centuries, the two of them were the most powerful duo in Sapey, but nobody knew, not even the most influential Linap.

Everything changed when Pardi discovered Sentray eggs in the great ocean. He wanted to heal all the Linap. This discovery was a huge threat to Maskameera and August’s position of power. They needed to destroy Pardi’s work. They told Lily to infiltrate Pardi’s laboratories, but there was little she could do. She tried to expose Pardi’s plan to contaminate the water, but that did not work. It appeared Pardi had now more influence than Maskameera and August. However, everything changed when Orcille used the Sentray’s cries to draw the Sentray to the Capital Region.

Maskameera, through Lily, who was posing as a new governor, managed to win a vote to ban the House of Divine Knowledge. With the help of agent provocateurs, widespread riots broke out over most of Sapey. The enforcers from the Capital Region were eventually forced to come to their aid, leaving the Capital poorly defended and an easy target for the Sentray. The plan worked; Pardi was killed, and his work was destroyed. However, the Sentray did not stop with the Capital Region. They attacked the other regions. In the end only one region remained. This was spared when the Sentray decided not to attack when their leader roared for them to leave.

Maskameera took on the identity of the baker, Julie. Since the Downs residents loved cakes, pastries, and pies, this put her at the centre of activity. Maskameera regained contact with Jennifer and fed her as much information as possible. An opportunity arose when the frozen Linap were discovered. She used Jennifer to control the most senior frozen Linap to once again covertly gain power.

Matilda

Matilda lived during the beginning of the Twelfth Loop. She was a junior member of the Bramley tribe. Her role was to forage for berries. She worked closely with her friend Derek. She played a key role in creating a poison that could kill the Sentray as well as spreading it to the Great Lake, which they were drawing them towards.

When the poison was not having its desired effect, she volunteered to be part of a team to collect more food. Her strong ability to become invisible greatly helped her. Matilda was also part of the team that had the job of luring the Sentray up the mountain.

Medical Technicians

Medical technicians play an important role in the Sapey healthcare system. They run tests in laboratories and help detect abnormalities in patients.

Melandria

Melandria spent her entire life in the North District orphanage. She started as an orphan and eventually became the deputy head. Melandria treated the orphans harshly, but to a certain extent, she did care for them. She greatly detested Tiberius’ treatment of the orphans but was afraid to stand up to him. When Melandria finally expressed her anger at Tiberius, he had her burnt alive.

Melinda

Melinda was a former employee of Ginger, but she became a slave when she was unable to have a new Linap child. Ginger treated her with respect, but Duffo and Marlon were rude to her.

Merida

Merida was the Head Philosopher in the West Region. She mentored Lily when she was a student at the House of Divine Knowledge. She also backed Lily to run in the General Election. Her relationship with Lily soured when she found out Lily had been working with Pardi; this was something she had warned her about many years prior.

Despite her falling out with Lily, Merida was deeply saddened and disturbed by her execution. She rallied the senior members of the House of Divine Knowledge to fight back against the new strict laws implemented by the Government, which was strongly influenced by the Business Sector.

Merida found out from Leanne’s suicide note that Lily was correct about the poisoning of the water supply. Merida’s efforts to prevent the poisoning failed, and she was arrested. While she was held in jail, riots broke out. Some rioters helped her escape from the jail. Not long after the riots, the Sentray attacked West. Merida was grabbed by a Sentray, who then ate her.

Mickey

In ancient Sapey, Mickey was a television host and action movie star. Mickey had an incredible energy. He loved to jump in the air or onto furniture. He hosted the famous Great Debate between Chief Waldo, Ryan, and the Democracy Chasers and the famous Serum Debate. Later in his career, he joined the entertainment action team. This team was critical for providing entertainment and propaganda rolled into one.

Mida

Mida was one of the deputy heads at the Cellrebrum Rehabilitation Centre. Mida was responsible for running many of the operations in the centre and often had direct contact with prisoners. Mida died when the giant flying machine he was in crashed.

Mikayla

Mikayla.jpg

Mikayla was sent to the Jeed Region because of her dangerous attraction to fire. Later, she became one of the region’s top specialists and assessors. Mikayla visited Darius, who was suffering from depression. She managed to convince him that visiting Jeed would help him. After some convincing, he agreed. Mikayla showed Darius around Jeed. She required him to participate in a few assessments, but most of the time the stay was about having fun.

After a few days, she convinced Darius to apply to become a full-time resident in Jeed. Darius was very attracted to Mikayla, and Mikayla was drawn to him. However, Dr. Crane was not happy that Mikayla had so easily passed Darius. He expected more from him before he would accept such a decision.

Mikayla pressured Darius to show more of himself at parties, which he struggled with the first time. After a good showing at a party, Mikayla was convinced Darius was in the clear. She was wrong. This led to her forcing Darius to leave Jeed by train and for her to exit Jeed into the Southern Agricultural Zone.

In the Southern Agricultural Zone, Mikayla encountered two fellow residents of Jeed, Jed and Nate. Jed and Nate tried to capture Mikayla and return her to Jeed. Instead, Mikayla turned the tables and captured them. She took them back to Jeed, claiming they attacked her and now had failed. Dr. Crane made a deal with Mikayla that if she conducted reassessments and failed a hundred Jeed residents in a month, she would have her old job back and that they would not pursue Darius.

A short while later, Mikayla had a visit from Demarcus, who revealed that Darius had been modified into a Sapiod-like creature. As she was talking with Demarcus, she received a message from Dr. Crane to assess Darius. This was too much for Mikayla. She set fire to the building and attacked Dr. Crane, killing both him and herself.

Milly

Milly was born Maggie to an ambitious Sapien couple. She was the sister of Lily (The G.O.A.T.). When her parents were killed, she changed her name to Milly. A Linap couple adopted her and her sister. Milly had the ability to become invisible and shapeshift. This was something that Sapiens were not supposed to do.

Milly’s adopted parents raised both Milly and Lily as Linap. This protected both of them. Both Milly and Lily were ambitious. Milly wanted to become a leader in the Business Sector and Lily wanted to become a representative and eventually a governor supported by the House of Divine Knowledge.

Milly targeted Pardi Carvaress, the son of the richest Linap and owner of the largest company (Carvaress Company). He was an easy target, as females did not find him appealing. Milly showed him some affection, and he responded well to it. Eventually, a relationship blossomed. Pardi and Milly married. Milly became pregnant. Sadly, she died during childbirth.

Miro

Miro.jpg

Miro was the leader of the Eastern Tribes. His brother, Flint, informed him that their ancestors had been defrosted and were being held in the Downs Region. Miro and a large group of underground Linap came to the surface and headed to the Downs Region. The Downs residents warmly welcomed Miro and his team. Miro was pleasantly surprised by how well their ancestors were being treated.

However, one ancestor was missing. That was Hamish Alset. Miro considered, based partly on his knowledge of the Alset family system, Hamish as the most senior Alset and therefore the leader. However, he also knew that Demadrian’s claim might have been stronger considering he was the eldest son of Hadrian, who was Locum Alset’s eldest son. Miro swayed from Demadrian because he believed he had taken too much of a liking to the Downs Regions, whom he desired to control.

Miro sent parties to search for Hamish and his rescuers. It did not take long before a team from the Western Tribes, which had reached the northeast area, encountered Hamish and his rescuers. The leader of that team, Captain Cecil, escorted Hamish and the rescuers to the Downs Region. None of them knew that this was not Hamish but actually Tiberius. He had taken Hamish’s place in the pod a thousand years ago.

Within a short time, Miro became close to Tiberius. He acknowledged him as their new leader. He worked with Tiberius to make a deal with the Downs’ leadership. Tiberius claimed to have a cure for their ailments, and in exchange, they would help Miro build aboveground settlements.

Mobius

Mobius the Magician was the most talented magician in ancient Sapey. He became a key member of the entertainment action team along with his close friends Waldo the Third and Vector the Ventriloquist.

Morgan

Morgan was the father of Denise and the husband of Latma. He was a key member of the Inquisitives, a rebellious group based in Adoy. Morgan was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and later charged for that crime. He was then sent to the Cellrebrum Rehabilitation Centre.

Morgan was studied in the rehabilitation centre. His thoughts were mostly on his family. Jarlint, one of the actual kidnappers, arrived at the Cellrebrum Rehabilitation Centre. He told the fathers of the girls who had been kidnapped, who were also in Cellrebrum, that Morgan had eaten their children. At first they did not believe him, but they changed their minds when they found out that they had been given a truth serum. A fight broke out, resulting in Jarlint killing one of the fathers. Morgan, along with Jarlint and the remaining fathers, failed the rehabilitation programme. Morgan was taken away to be turned into a Sapiod-like creature.

Nate

Nate was Jed’s best friend. They met Mikayla in the Southern Agricultural Zone. On finding out that residents were being reassessed and that Mikayla was on the run, they decided to capture her and return her to Jeed. They failed and ended up being captured and reassessed themselves.

Nettor

Nettor was a senior manager for Ripe Company. He was invited to an emergency meeting regarding the fire in the Jeed Region. He provided an update regarding the incident and the action that Ripe Company was taking.

Niart Metro

Niart Metro was the largest shareholder in the Sapien Loop Company. Niart ordered Clyde and Candice to kill Lily’s parents. Lily eventually got her revenge when her uncle performed a procedure on them which damaged their brains so that they could no longer shapeshift. Niart’s nephew Locom took over from him.

Noilemac Carvaress

Noilemac Carvaress was the daughter of Malcolm and Teahena Carvaress. She became friends with NB14572, who had escaped the orphanage. Unfortunately, the two were seen together. NB14572 shapeshifted Noilemac into herself, and she shapeshifted herself into Noilemac.

Noilemac was taken to the orphanage, where Tiberius slit her throat to prove that she was NB14572. He was wrong. He then dumped her body on a fire to destroy her body.

Later that day, Tiberius set fire to the Carvaress mansion to kill Noilemac's parents. He did so to cover up Noilemac's disappearance and death. Her parents’ bodies were recovered afterwards, but Noilemac's was not found. Many locals believed she was still alive.

When Duffo was found in a blanket with the word ‘Noilemac’ embroidered onto it. James Yensid conveniently assumed that Duffo was her son. However, this was a ploy to claim money off Sanguine.

Noosa’s Grandmother

Noosa’s grandmother looked after Noosa while her parents worked in the mines. She was looking after her when they died in a cave-in. Hadrian went to visit her to inform her of their deaths. When he did, he noticed Noosa had blue eyes. This rare genetic feature indicated that she might have his father’s great intelligence or that she might have been related to him in some way. Either way, he saw her as a threat. He panicked and took her from her grandmother, claiming she had an illness and needed immediate treatment.
