Walking restlessly around the room, he picked his phone and dailed his number.
"Report" on the other end of the call a voice came on
"Sir I'm sorry but this is going to take awhile"
"And why is that? Felix kira's father's thunderous voice asked
"She wouldn't even let me come close to her however, give me till after summer break I'm going to bring her to you sir"
"If you have to kidnap her to bring her here, just DO IT and look davidson, DON'T FAIL ME"
scott on the other hand who hates being called by his father's name answered reluctantly
"okay....s" before he could complete the sir master felix as they call him hung up.
Phewwww how am i supposed to get this young stubborn lady to her father and why can't he just call her and ask her to meet him rather than stressing my beautiful youthful life? He asked rhetorically, well i guess kira's mum won't let her meet her father even if he called her. He remembered when he was first called to look for her and asked why he wanted her to be brought here.
"Master if i may ask, why am i to bring this young lady here?"
"She's my daughter"
"So why can't you get her yourself, cuz she'll be happy once she sees her father. Am i wrong?"
Steering daggers at scott he said eventually
"I and my wife are separated. she found out who i was and ran off with our two month old child and now she has a destiny to fuilfill now she has come of age"
"Sir, perhaps does this have anything to do with the blood festival that'll happen soon?"
"Yes and i believe you've heard i need you for us to be alive too he asked bluntly "
"Yes sir i know that better than anyone" scott answered naively
"Then you have to help me bring my lovely daughter to me understood?"
"Yes master"
Felix being the power hungry person who couldn't care less about his family. all he cared about was himself and his reputation. He is someone who would use people anyhow he wanted and disposes them once they're not useful to him anymore either he kills them or starves them to death. He was just obsessed with power that it has blinded him to the extent that anything that won't give him any bit of power is useless.
ringgggggg
He jerked "Oh i have to get this done as soon as possible " scott said to himself.
On his way back to his tiny little house, he sited kira on her bike paddling to what looked like the widows house.
"Perfect" he said ecstatically
Miss caroline has previously invited him for cookies. That has been her principal since she came into town after her husband died to always welcome the new people in the neighborhood open heartedly and everyone in the neighborhood loved her for her generosity.
First i have to drop in and say hi to miss caroline, all these drama since these past few days have been messing with my mind. Kira thought to herself
"Knock knock"
I knocked and waited for a shout or a click
"Yes! Coming " , i heard miss Caroline's voice and suddenly felt so happy.
"Hey kira to what do i owe this surprise visit?"
"I felt its been long i had your brownings so i was craving to have some of it and decided to come see you" kira said happily
"Awwnnn lucky for you,i just baked some"
"Ah Lucky me!" I said with enthusiasm
She chuckled and left for the kitchen i sat down at my usual spot in the lounge and waited for her. Few minutes later she came in with a plate of browning alongside an apple juice.
"Thank you" i said
"You're welcome hun"
"Aha there's a new kid around here he said he goes to the same school as you so i invited him for browning sometime but he didn't seem all that friendly so i doubt he'll ever come around"
"Oh really" kira said feigning ignorance
"By chance, do you happen to know where he lives exactly?" Kira asked
"No I've seen him a few times coming out from that wood over there, you know sometimes if feels like he just appears from nowhere. I find him a little bit strange" she said
"Ding"
I better go check the stranger on the bell people, around here know i love the sound of "knock knock "
She smiled and walked off to check who was at the door. I chewed on my browning lazily still thinking about scott and why he doesn't scare me nor make me feel insecure, I've always felt like that with any guy that comes my way but why not him....
"Hey come on in; i heard miss caroline say
She came rushing in
"Hey ki the new neighbor is here" she chuckled excitedly and walked off. I choked on my browning and gulped down a big amount of juice to avoid choking to death
"We meet again kira"
I heard him say
"What are you doing here?" I couldn't help but ask this stupid question
"To see miss caroline of cause, she offered brownings the other day"
"Oh i see" i said dryly
I chewed on quietly no matter how hard I tried to look him in the eye, I can't just hold the connection for more than a few second
"What's your plan for the summer"
He asked bringing me back to reality
"I don't think i owe you an answer to that question" I said
"Ouch!! did i do something wrong kira? you don't seem to like me for no reason"
Then i thought about it, why am i being such a bitch?but then, i just didn't want to get close to him for any reason whatsoever.
His phone beeped and he ran off leaving me hanging with my explanation.
"So scott" miss caroline started and stopped on her track Where's he?
"His phone rang and he ran off with no explanation" i said angrily
"Oh i see" she said
I thanked her and stood to leave then noticed scott left his key on the table, so i took it hoping to find him around the neighborhood
"You're welcome anytime kira"
I hopped on my bike hoping to see him around somewhere to return his keys to him. I paddled around searching for scott but nobody seemed to know where he lives.
Kira turned to go back home disappointed and heard her name. She saw scott coming from a distance and smiled unknowingly to her.
"Why are you following me around "? Scott asked angrily his eyes twitching with anger and his face looking even more attractive
"Here, your keys you left it at miss Caroline's place"
He took the key without saying a single word and left. Kira wanted to ask him why he looked like he was beaten up but decided against it and just went home totally disappointed.
