As a Student Nurse in Clinicals, Never Forget These things to do

1. Check vital signs

2. Make beds (occupied & unoccupied)

3. Help with bathing & hygiene

4. Assist in wound dressing (with supervision)

5. Feed patients who need help

6. Administer medication (under supervision!)

7. Monitor intake & output of patients

8. Document EVERYTHING

9. Give health talks

10. Assist in minor procedures

11. Observe & report changes

12. Keep the environment clean

13. Do catheter care

14. Give bedside reports

15. Be a comforting presence

Please note: Nursing is all about practicals, as you are mastering your theory, also be good at practice

Be visible. Be teachable. Be intentional.
