A poem to missed opportunities

in Freewriters3 months ago

In fleeting moments, our paths did cross,
Where time stood still, at no love's loss.
Brief encounters, yet in my mind,
A world of possibilities, I find.

My thoughts drift to you, though brief our stay,
Wondering if you feel the same way.
But your closed door, it speaks so loud,
Leaves me uncertain in this cloud.

More of me than I dared to show,
Fear of rejection, I chose to stow.
Yet I yearn to rewind time's track,
To those moments where hope held back.

Perhaps one day, your door will ajar,
Inviting me in from afar.
Until then, I hold onto this dream's embrace,
Hoping love finds us, in its rightful place.
