We all know by reaction whenever we make gestures of wrinkling the face when consuming or sucking something acidic, that reaction of wrinkling the face is completely involuntary as babies also have the same reaction.
Our body system reacts to the acid taste and hence the reason for this expression or sensation that food or other acid substances produce to our taste zone.
Wrinkling the face as if sucking a lemon is also a way in which people react in a gestural way to oppose a problematic attitude or simply as a sign of disagreement.
