All the little things to learn when you have a grandmother who actually loves you …

“All right, so, here are two kinds of baskets,” Mrs. Thalia Ludlow said to her grandddaughters Amanda (7) and Edwina (8), while their thoughtful brother Grayson (6) came over because he was curious. “Wicker baskets are better for the soft fruits of the late spring through the early fall, and wire baskets can be used for the firmer fruits of the fall through the early spring.”

“But why, Grandma?” all three grandchildren asked.

“Because nobody likes an accidental juicer,” Mrs. Ludlow said.

“Wait … wow … cool!” Grayson said. “I mean, there are good accidents, sometimes.”

“No, there aren't – unless you mean yesterday when you spilled the dish soap in the bathroom and Andrew cleaned it up real quick,” Edwina said.

“Well, George had tracked mud in there, and so it needed to be cleaned anyway!”

“Not that kind of accident,” Mrs. Ludlow said as she made a note to talk with George and Andrew. “This is a situation in which soft fruits get all heavy and ripe and start to crush each other, and wire is thin and hard, so, your basket will spring a leak and attract bugs.”

“Ewwwwwww!” Amanda and Edwina said.

“Actually, this is getting better!” Grayson said. “Hey, George, did you want to learn how to make an accidental juicer that attracts bugs?”

You write so well, specially when you write fictitious sets --maybe, there is something special in you, at the time when you knot the conversational segments, I mean its so crafty and creative that, what to say?
Its genuinely amazing.
