Such an ordinary house. Maybe the white paint on the exterior walls was peeling off in places and the roof looked like it leaked during any precipitation harder than a drizzle. But nothing about the place hinted at any sort of magic.
At least until the woman answered the door.
She was an older woman with long grey hair that might have once been black wearing clothes that looked like they had been tossed out by a thrift store for quality issues. And her eyes were cuckoo crazy. But underneath the craziness, she seemed like she might have figured out something that everyone else would catch on to eventually. Or not.
“You have a question?” she asked him in lieu of a greeting.
“Uh, yes…” he said, then seemed to lose his nerve.
“Go on.”
“What should I do while the price of Hive is so low?” he blurted.
She sighed.
“You ask me this every time the market dips. I'm not taking my crystal ball out for this. The answer is the same as always: keep posting so you earn more HP while the dollar value is low and your account can get more visibility because there are fewer good posts for curators to upvote.”
“But what if it never recovers?” he said hopelessly.
“Hey, I said keep posting, I never said to quit your day job! Besides, as I have stated repeatedly, I am a fortune teller, NOT a licensed financial advisor and this is not financial advice. Now, will you be taking another rabbit foot or not?”
“Yes, please…”
