It was a beautiful sentiment. But the words never left her lips. They wanted to, but it had been too long. Where would she even begin after so many years of absence and wondering? And wishing.
Hey, did you ever get around to doing that thing you always wanted to do?
Did you know they're making your favorite snack in extra, extra large now?
You look happy, are you?
But the bonds had stretched so thin she could barely see them anymore. Maybe they simply weren't there except as memories in her mind and her mind only.
So many words, so much to say but nowhere near enough courage to say any of it out loud.
See? I can write drama without any dark humor or gross plot twists 😁. I mean chances are if I had written any more words I'd have gone and ruined the mood completely but, it's good to stretch the imagination once in a while.
