He had long been curious about the messages of the shadows, trying to understand them in every possible way.
One night, exhausted, he closed his eyes... and opened them to find himself somewhere else.
Fog swirled over a strange terrain, illuminated only by a faint green glow.
As his eyes adjusted, he realised with astonishment that he was not alone: cloaked figures slipped silently through the mist.
With a shudder, he noticed their dark eyes watching him from inside shadowy hoods.
A figure approached and held out a long-fingered hand.
-Come. It is time for you to know the truth.
He hesitated and then placed his hand in the shadow's cold fist. Immediately, the mist dissipated, revealing tall towers in the distance.
-Welcome to our realm. Here we will reveal to you all that you wish to know.
He did not know what strange land he had entered, nor what truths awaited him, but at last he would find answers in the mysterious domain of the shadows.
