The mother looked sadly at Forrest.
-Eat, son, you have to go back to school today.
The boy smiled, although inside something was tightening in his chest.
-Mum, I don't want to leave you alone. Promise you'll be all right, -he begged, hugging her tightly.
She stroked his hair.
-Of course I will, my love. Mama will always be here for you.
But Forrest knew something wasn't right. His mother's cough sounded worse and worse.
So, in tears, he said goodbye to his faithful companion, the person who gave him so much love.
-I love you mum. Please take care of yourself, -he begged her once more.
She could only nod, hiding her weakness so as not to sadden him.
She had a feeling that this might be the last time she would see her beloved Forrest.
