Dr Anton opens the ancient sarcophagus with trembling hands, unsure of the mysteries it holds.
Opening the lid, he gasps at the impossibility of what lies before him.
Where he expected linen and wrapped bones, lies the seemingly intact body of a woman, but when he looks closer, her eyes open to meet his gaze.
-Who... who are you? -says the Egyptian beauty in a hoarse voice.
Anton recoils in shock. How is that possible? She has been buried for centuries, yet she showed no signs of degradation.
Her creamy skin seemed as smooth and radiant as that of a living woman.
As Anton stammers helplessly, she sits up gracefully and swings her alabaster legs over the edge of the coffin.
Her gaze pierces him with ancestral intelligence.
-Take me from this place, -she commands in a voice of silken night.
Anton doesn't know how or why, but he has discovered a miracle, or perhaps something much stranger.
