3 Hens

in Freewritersyesterday (edited)

What I See

I see harmonies of brown, yellow, and tan arranged on three hens that contrast with the white background.

What I Feel

Cold, but not freezing; otherwise, these hens wouldn't be so happy.

The Story

Spring is still a month away, but María Elena, Aurora, and Azucena are eager to leave the henhouse, to escape to the forest by the river where worms abound. Their thoughts mingle; they seem like God and the farmer, searching for food, but there's nothing like nature.

"Look, girls," says one, "the flowers are starting to bloom. Spring is just around the corner."

The other two hens say nothing; they're already enjoying the first rays of the morning sun.

Thank you

Your first post is beautiful—I love how you've woven together observation, feeling, and storytelling around those three hens. The detail about María Elena, Aurora, and Azucena having their own voices and anticipation for spring gives the piece real warmth, even in the cold.

Since you're creating thoughtful, narrative-driven content like this, hivepro.ai could be a great tool for polishing and expanding your writing as you continue posting. If you're interested in sharing shorter reflections alongside longer pieces, InLeo Threads is also perfect for that kind of intimate, creative community.

What inspired you to focus on the hens' perspective rather than just describing the scene from the outside?
