A slot simply means where you place or insert something. It might be a keyhole or a another hole for that matter.
The surprising part about slot is the one that phone and it's accessories are sold. I have been trying to wonder how the name fits the job description. Probably, it's just an irony though because not all organizational name have to fit the job description.
But the slot where you get the phone accessories though is a good spot for getting your phone. So keep inserting in the slot, lol...
