STORY
Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a farmer named Rahim. He owned a small piece of land where he grew wheat and vegetables. Every morning, he worked hard from sunrise to sunset, but he was never satisfied with what he had.
Rahim often complained,
“My land is too small. My crops don’t grow well. Why is life so unfair to me?”
His wife, Ayesha, always tried to calm him down.
“Rahim, we have enough food to eat and a roof over our heads. We should thank Allah for that.”
But Rahim didn’t listen. He envied his neighbor Salman, who had a bigger farm and more animals.
One night, Rahim prayed,
“Oh Allah, please give me more land and animals like Salman. Then I’ll be the happiest man in the village.”
The next morning, Rahim woke up to find that a strong storm had hit the village. It destroyed many farms—including Salman's big one. Rahim ran outside, worried about his crops. To his surprise, his small field was safe! The trees around his farm had protected it from the storm.
When he saw Salman crying over his ruined fields, Rahim felt ashamed.
He realized how lucky he was to have what he already did. That day, he stopped complaining and started being grateful for his blessings.
From then on, Rahim worked happily, thanking God every day for his simple but peaceful life.
