The return of the original ZapFic contest

You have 3 days (until Thursday 23h59 GMT) to post a Zapfic (a story written in 240 characters or less) using the prompt given.

Please note it is a story with 240 characters (letters, full stops, spaces, etc) NOT words!

All valid posts will be upvoted and reblogged by @felt.buzz and @Zapfic.Club and upvoted by the @freewritehouse.

Three winners will be chosen on Friday, each will get 1 Hive SBI share.

      Thank you for the contest @freewritehouse But I noticed that entries with more than 240 characters even up to 315 characters are being accepted...

      I just want to get some clarification on that.

        On MONDAYS, 240 characters. On FRIDAYS, 50 words (which may run up to 300 characters or a bit more).

                Thank you @freewritehouse (is that an additional account run by you, Marianne? Or is it feltbuzz? I'm trying to learn who is who!).

                I wanted to check where the proof the word length needs to go for these contests. I like to put mine in the entry comment here (because then my post can be a standalone and lovely reading for others not participating in the contest):

                  Hi, to answer your questions...

                  @freewritehouse is owned by @mariannewest. There are several people who run it with her (run various contests, some in Spanish some in English, and upvote and moderate, etc).

                  It is Bruce @felt.buzz (me!) who runs the #zapficmonday and #zapfic50friday contests (and it is me who owns and runs the @zapfic.club account too).

                  To answer your question re character count. I prefer it if you post the character count screenshot in your post. With between 30-65 entries twice a week it is quite a feat to check that all entries are valid, it just makes it easier for me if it is in one place. That said, if the story looks about the right length and is good I will come back here to check to see if a screenshot has been provided with the link.
