Un regalo de cielo
se hospedó en vientre
me acompañan ya
hace unas cuantas lunas crecientes.
Mis alas son sólo para ellas
refugio que les da calor
son mias nada más
el de arriba me las ha confiado
aunque ni experiencia
ni habilidad
que me hiciera merecer
esta responsabilidad directa
pero la llevo con amor
y cada amanecer
agradezzco la oportunidad
de verles crecer
y en cada anochecer
pido que nos deje
juntas otro día más
muchos más.
A gift from heaven
lodged in my womb
accompanying me already
a few crescent moons ago.
My wings are only for them
shelter that gives them warmth
they are mine only
the one above has entrusted them to me
although neither experience
nor skill
that would make me deserve
this direct responsibility
but I carry it with love
and every sunrise
I am grateful for the opportunity
to see them grow
and at every sunset
I pray that it will leave us
together another day
many more.
