Habían momentos muy particulares en el colegio y uno de ellos era cuando un profesor que teníamos en la materia de educación física, nos dejaba “jugar” todo el resto de la hora posterior a los ejercicios, calentamientos y evaluaciones, pues algunas veces sobretodo los varones hacíamos eso de una manera rápida.
Por lo que quedaba un espacio de hora, que para evitar que estuviéramos en la “vagancia”, nos impulsaba a practicar o jugar mejor dicho, quizás algún deporte en específico (sea del que se estuviera evaluando en ese lapso) o cualquier otro de nuestra elección siempre que hubiera el espacio adecuado para esto.
Y es que, por ejemplo, este nos decía que para evitar que los mejores siempre jugaran, debíamos “pasar” la cancha, en este sentido el equipo que ganaba, no podía ganar mas de dos veces sin salir al menos dos turnos y el equipo que perdiese tenía que jugar al menos esos dos juegos contra otros rivales, pero todo tenía su truco de cierta manera, pues la gente le buscaba la vuelta.
Pues, si al final con el tiempo te cansabas, podías ir a desayunar, merendar, etc, y no podrías volver a jugar, por lo que había personas (algunas un poco flojas) que decían ¡elígeme, elígeme! Solamente con el fin de jugar estos dos partidos y perderlos, adrede para decir, “estoy cansado, voy a desayunar” y con esto tomar un buen tiempo de hora libre para ir a comer, descansar, cambiarse o simplemente echarse un rato por ahí.
Y es que era algo que funcionaba para algunos y se volvía un hecho pandémico cuando por ejemplo teníamos parciales importantes en las horas siguientes, pues empezaban a decir “profe, no puedo, ya jugué los dos partidos, voy a comer” y se iban a estudiar jaja, lo cierto es que de cierta manera era entretenido ver como cuando pasaban estas cosas nos dejaban la cancha solo para nosotros y lo que pasaba a ser un partido a rondas se volvía un eterno partido entre dos grandes equipos por el resto de la hora.

There were very particular moments in school and one of them was when a teacher we had in physical education, let us "play" all the rest of the hour after the exercises, warm-ups and evaluations, because sometimes, especially the boys, we did that in a fast way.
So there was a space of an hour left, that to avoid that we were in the "laziness", we were encouraged to practice or play better said, perhaps a specific sport (whether it was being evaluated in that period) or any other of our choice as long as there was adequate space for this.
And is that, for example, this told us that to prevent the best always play, we had to "pass" the court, in this sense the team that won, could not win more than twice without leaving at least two turns and the team that lost had to play at least those two games against other rivals, but everything had its trick in a certain way, because people were looking for the return.
Well, if you eventually got tired, you could go to breakfast, snack, etc., and you could not play again, so there were people (some a little lazy) who said elect me, elect me! Only in order to play these two games and lose them, purposely to say, "I'm tired, I'm going to have breakfast" and with this take a good time of free hour to go to eat, rest, change or just lie around for a while.
And it was something that worked for some and it became a pandemic fact when for example we had important midterms in the following hours, because they started to say "teacher, I can't, I already played both games, I'm going to eat" and they went to study haha, the truth is that in a way it was entertaining to see how when these things happened they left the court just for us and what was to be a round-robin game became an eternal match between two great teams for the rest of the hour.
