Hay cosas que son de mucha tradición en algunas familias, pues van desde algo “sencillo” como mantener algunas tradiciones o alguna receta en particular, hasta llevar las riendas de un negocio familiar, todo esto nada sencillo, muchas veces, pues algunas veces es complicado que algunas personas puedan interesarse por algunas cosas y es como con el paso del tiempo se van perdiendo las cosas.
Recuerdo que hace un tiempo conocí a unos señores en una de estas veces en las que he buscado realizar un proyecto de esos “locos” que algunas veces hago, en mi caso, llegue al lugar y luego de comprar y volver varias veces, note que habitualmente eran el señor mayor y la señora quienes atendían el lugar, algo que me llamo mucho la atención y en una de esas veces, en las que estaba esperando empezamos a hablar un poco de todo.
A lo que luego de escuchar un poco, le pregunte que, si por ejemplo, no tenían a alguien que quisiera seguir con el negocio familiar, pues por lo que me comento el señor, este negocio tenía unas cuantas generaciones a sus cuestas, pero tristemente ninguno de sus descendientes se ha interesado en el rubro.
Por lo que el señor con una cara un poco triste me comentó “mi sustituto o nuestro sustituto creíamos que podría ser nuestro nieto, pero mi hijo le metió en la cabeza que él no tenía que atender un negocio viejo” cosa que de verdad se le notaba un poco de ese feo sentimiento de desplazar todo ese esfuerzo que de por años mantuvieron en pie y que al final quizás solo cierren puertas y ya.
La verdad es que es algo triste a manera personal ver como algunas veces dejan perderse todas aquellas tradiciones que pueden tener algunas familias, pues si bien no todos nacen para ser comerciantes, lo cierto es que hay maneras de mantener una tradición, de igual manera con las recetas, pues no a todos se les da bien la cocina, pero quizás si se comparte con alguien que, si le apasione la cocina, pues pueda brindar ese legado y permitir que continúe en el tiempo.

There are things that are very traditional in some families, ranging from something "simple" like keeping some traditions or a particular recipe, to taking the reins of a family business, all this is not easy, many times, because sometimes it is complicated that some people may be interested in some things and it is as time goes by that things are lost.
I remember that some time ago I met some gentlemen in one of these times in which I have sought to make a project of those "crazy" that sometimes I do, in my case, I arrived at the place and after buying and returning several times, I noticed that usually were the older man and the lady who attended the place, something that caught my attention and in one of those times, in which I was waiting we started to talk a little about everything.
After listening a little bit, I asked him if, for example, they didn't have someone who wanted to continue with the family business, because according to what the gentleman told me, this business had a few generations behind it, but sadly none of his descendants has been interested in the business.
So the gentleman with a sad face told me "my replacement or our replacement we thought it could be our grandson, but my son got it into his head that he did not have to take care of an old business" something that really showed a bit of that ugly feeling of displacing all that effort that for years they kept up and that in the end maybe they just close doors and that's it.
The truth is that it is somewhat sad to see how sometimes they let all those traditions that some families may have get lost, because although not everyone is born to be merchants, the truth is that there are ways to maintain a tradition, likewise with the recipes, because not everyone is good at cooking, but perhaps if you share with someone who, if you are passionate about cooking, you can provide that legacy and allow it to continue over time.
