Nosotros (unos amigos y yo) desde que estábamos estudiando, siempre andábamos bromeando sobre los empleos que todos quisiéramos cuando termináramos la carrera y uno de ellos siempre dijo que él quería “comandar” y no solamente un equipo sino múltiples equipos, pues su idea era ser un superintendente o algo por el estilo, pues él no quería “ese trabajo sencillo con el que todos comienzan”.
Nosotros siempre le decíamos que de pequeño es que se llega a grande, pues uno cuando nace no llega y sale corriendo de una vez, pues uno va gateando con el tiempo, de ahí a caminar y posteriormente a correr cuando ya se tienen caídas y demás, pues es la manera en la que se van dando las cosas, y en el mundo laboral no iba a ser de menos esto.
Pues es necesario “curtirse” para poder agarrar el “kilometraje” necesario para poder dar con estos puestos y demostrar la valía que tiene uno para poder dar y hacer en puestos significativos como estos, por lo que no era algo de solo soplar y hacer botellas, como dicen por ahí los viejos, y esto era algo que él, no tenía en cuenta.
Ya que él decía que todo se podía resolver con unas llamadas y unas gestiones, y nosotros nos reíamos y le decíamos que por más “palanca” que tuviera era muy complicado escalar a un puesto tan elevado cuando apenas somos unos recién nacidos en ese ámbito, por lo que si bien podríamos tener nociones de lo que hacer, habría seguramente mas de una persona en cualquiera de estas organizaciones que no tan solo tuviera la preparación, sino que de igual manera tenía las posibilidades de escalar a este puesto bien sea por la antigüedad o por un buen trabajo realizado por años y el trato con los pares y superiores.
Por lo que este lentamente fue cayendo en cuenta de esto cuando fue intentando rasgar o colar su hoja de vida en algunos lugares y le comentaban que “para ese cargo, no aplicas” y fue como él lentamente iba dando en cuenta de que ese salto astronómico tenía que ser con tiempo y dedicación y no solo dar con una vacante y listo.

Well, it is necessary to "get hardened" to be able to get the necessary "mileage" to be able to find these positions and demonstrate the value that one has to be able to give and do in significant positions such as these, so it was not something to just blow and make bottles, as the old people say, and this was something that he did not take into account.
Since he said that everything could be solved with a few calls and a few steps, and we laughed and told him that no matter how much "leverage" he had it was very difficult to climb to such a high position when we are just a newborn in this area, so that although we could have notions of what to do, there would surely be more than one person in any of these organizations that not only had the preparation, but also had the potential to climb to this position either by seniority or by a good job done for years and dealing with peers and superiors.
So he was slowly realizing this when he was trying to tear or hang his resume in some places and he was told that "for that position, you do not apply" and he was slowly realizing that this astronomical leap had to be with time and dedication and not just find a vacancy and that was it.
